Is there anything more satisfying than that feeling you get when Indy is in a really bad situation and he suddenly gets all fed up and the indy music kicks in and he kicks the enemy's ass?

Guys, here's a movie made by the AVGN that has some golden bits (start and end). The top 10 is kind of lame, but I thought that the intro and conclusion was very interesting.

@badgenome. You're not allowed to post in here until you vote YES in the poll.

So bond inspired indy, guess this is related to amp

amp, you're really out of it! You clearly don't know what you're talking about. Perhaps you're delirious! Last Crusade is tied to the number one spot with Raiders! And that last movie... come on! It's so much worse than all the other movies in the series, but having Shia LeTurd as Indy's son... FAAAAIIIL!!!

I really do love these movies! They're so god damn iconic! Indy 4 Life!!!

Shia LaBeef was horrible, but Last Crusade was.. dare I say... not interesting to me.

Man... I'm... Just... What?

I'm baffled amp! :^O baffled! The crystal skull kingdom is by far the worst of the bunch, simply because they're trying to merge two different movie genres: the adventure movies of the 40's with the UFO movies from the 50's - and they simply don't merge too well...

Well, to every one his own I guess... (is that the saying? =/)

Yeah, I read somewhere that Spielberg agreed to direct the Indiana Jones movies for Lucas because he always wanted to direct a Bond film.  He actually was up for the job of director for The Spy Who Loved Me.

I agree that Last Crusade is a little overrated. It's basically a retread of Raiders -- the only great movie of the series, in my opinion. It's also a bit too self-aware and too self-referential.

The reason that they did this was because the movie was taking place in the 50's according to Lucas.  It was definitely weird at the end when it became a UFO picture, but I didn't find it any more strange than when the Ark is opened and everyone starts melting or when Mola Ram pulls out that guys heart and it starts beating.  These movies are all in the fantasy adventure genre.  There were no Nazis with their faces melting in those 40's serials so the Indy series was already combining genres.

By the way, I am not the biggest fan of Crystal Skull either.

I rank the films:

1) Raiders (one of my favorite action films ever)

2) Temple

3) Crystal Skull

4) Last Cruade

I don't think that The Phantom Menace is the worst Star Wars either.  What do you say about that, sir?

Now I know you're only trolling!!!

Yeah, it makes sense that they have some UFO theme in a movie taking place in the 50's, I just don't think it's a good match with the adventure theme of the 40's that the whole series is build around... I just wish they could have done something else with the whole "Crystal Skull" thing.

Why take something that actually exists and make it... alien??

Attack Of The Clone was worse.

I understand your complaints about the story.  I just don't look for realism in Indiana Jones movies, but I have to say that Tarzan scene with Shia was admittedly cringeworthy.

Eeeh, what? They didn't have Kid Anakin so Clone Wars is better per default my dear amp =) And having Jar-Jar Binks in a movie automatically makes it one of the worst movies ever concieved.... If it wasn't for the Star Wars name I'd never see it willingly...

I'm not looking for realism either in an Indy movie, but I like me some consistency never the less, some thing Indy 4 lacked much of...

No, they didn't have kid Anakin or Jar Jar in it, but they had Hayden Christiansen acting like Hayden Panitierre thoughout the whole ordeal.  Even Christopher Lee and Yoda's lightsaber scene was way too short.  Boo!

Don't get on Indy 4 too much.  There's going to be *gasp * Indy 5.  Word has it that Indy will dispatch enemies with a respirator instead of a whip.
