vita hands down. The vita will receive its first holiday boost... wii will be diminished by the wii u.

vita will receive holiday games... wii will not.

Sales stores have will benefit the vita more since less people can afford it as of right now. The wii is pretty much attainable to anyone who wants one.

Of course the Wii U will outsell Vita by a large margin. It will be the most sold console this christmas for sure.

With the launch of the Wii U there is no way the Wii sells more than the Vita. Of course that doesn't mean the Vita will sell a lot but definitely more than the Wii. 

If I'm wrong that means the Vita is in big trouble.

I think that Wii, PSP, and Vita sales will all be very close. And 3DS/PS3/X360/Wii U sales will be similar as well. I'm not sure that there will be a clear winner, but I think the 3DS has the best chance to come out on top.

I guess you don't realize that Wii U will likely cross Vita YTD sales within its first couple of months and whatever sales boost Vita gets this holiday season will also get surpassed shortly after. Vita just doesn't have the kind of software pipeline it would need to create and maintain healthy sales.

The vita, the littlebigplanet vita ad on tv is so awesome. If they keep making them like that for christmas they should sell a few alright.

Anyways, Vita vs. Wii is the more apt comparison given the operative word in the OP is "dying".  I'm choosing the Vita though.  I think the Western launch of CoD, AssCreed, and LBP will (or should) keep it ahead of the Wii.  

If the Wii does manage to outsell the Vita... I wonder if we'll see meltdowns or perhaps people are already used to Vita so poorly.

Vita will have an easy win.

The Wii is almost dead and with its successor launching by Xmas, it will be the final nail in its coffin. And on the other hand, it will be Vita's first Xmas in the west and games like Assassins Creed and CoD will make it more attractive.

Well Vitas sales in october and november could help pull the victory.
