No trophy, no buy.

At least that's my reasoning for PS3 games and multiplats.

meh, i didnt see the big deal with it when MS did it and I didnt see the big deal when Sony did it. However this could hurt their multiplat sales a little, their are trophy and achievement hunters out there who would not like this

I'm glad in a way.............. got enough going on achievement wise with the 360.

Next gen for me........ WiiU= Straight forward no nonsense gaming. 720= continue the good achievement fight.

Not that I care but at least they still exist and you can show them off to your friends. Now it's just dependent upon the developers if they can be bothered creating their own accomplishment system to appeal to the achievement whore crowd.

Wayne noone needs it other than "look my dick is 1 inch longer than yours" people.  Same goes for the   LEVEL CLEARED   A++ you successfully rushed thru the level

Seriously who needs this?  I want to play a game and dont want to be constantly remembered that its a game with stupid popups etc... that rate me while I safe the world etc...

I don't see what the harm in putting them in is. You don't have to go after achievements/trophies. They're just a nice little bonus. I don't actively collect them, but I like them on PS3.

It's not a deal breaker for me, because Wii-U will probably end up being my second system anyway. It's just a bit of a shame.

I don't get why everyone's acting like "not mandatory" = "no fucking way this is going to happen."

We have evidence of Nintendo implementing them, and third party multiplats might as well implement if they think it'll actually help the game. The achievements that are there will be there for your friends to see.
