i am a lurker and a snob... i don't think my time is well spend in most of the arguments here... people read the replies but people don't really read the replies... i just like to see the wild come backs and the twist people put in things to their advantage... i know they are being childish and fanboys, but some are really creative. fun to watch, not worth participate.

one reason could be that many who don't speak english as first language like to read what others have to say but don't want to contribute in an english thread because they don't feel like their english is good enough.

or people who just want to know what other think about the 3ds. you said people can just read about the industry on other sites, let's say ign, but if you plan to buy a 3ds xl it is good to read the opinion of owners and not only of one guy writing an article. same with amazon or so, people will read the comments about the products to get important informations. so, even if you have no 3ds xl it makes sense to read in the thread if you want one but you can't really say something there.

and even if people contribute a lot in this forum, like you or pezus, i bet you also open a thread you posted in many more times than you post there. if you get the info that someone posted in that thread from your forum buddy you open it to see what he/she wrote but that doesn't mean you will reply to every single new post.

I post if I have enough time to follow the thread and see if someone quoted me which is seldom. I mostly just have time to read a few things then leave. I guess I'm a part-time lurker?

I'm a total snob, I snob my own threads sometimes, it's a pity.

I only post in threads started by Spurge or man-bear-pig anymore because of my man-crush on both of them.

I'm addicted to Gaf, at first it was all confusing but then my mind was programmed for the fast moving threads and the user activity. I can easily post more than 30 comments a day there eventough I only frequent 2 threads: Vitagaf and animegaf. Ive been off Gaf for a couple days and back on Chartz now and kind of disappointed by the activity of the hot topics .

I've recently become a Forum Lump... but not for long people!!!
