While this document is likely true, we won't know for certain if these things are system-wide until we see them for another game.

Otherwise it could be just like Smash Bros. Brawl or Prime Trilogy, which had their own individual 'achievement' systems.

For the record, I hope if true of all Wii U games, they're optional. While I love the 360 to death, I don't like all the constant pressure to add to a cumulative score, or the constant reminders that X person got Y more points than me in Z game.

You said you were going to be in charge of making that thread when we do get achievements. Are you still going to do it? It will take years of your time.

Accomplishments? That's kinda humorous. I remember when there were reports of Sony "ripping off" Achievements, the running joke was that'd they'd be called Accomplishments. Then Steam came along and straight up used used the term Achievements.

It's good to see Nintendo's going this route. All online platforms like this should have a standardized rewards system.

I made a thread asking if Nintendo gamers should have their own achievement type of thread like Arcturus and NeoRatt have. Everyone said it was not possible at this time, but you sayd you would be willing to do it if it was possible. See their thread for an example.

This is bound to happen, though I'm surprised they are not using the coin system.
