When I turned on my xbox earlier today, I noticed I had to do a system update. I'm not sure exactly what it was for and I don't remember hearing anything about a system update occuring. Anyone else have a mysterious update today?

yeap probably for all the new goodies coming soon like smartglass and all... but I hate that you can't get clear info on what you are downloading right away.... I mean either on the XBox or on XBox.com they could have a clear description of what we DL

I didn't notice one when I was on a couple of hours ago.

Yep I got it. I think it made all apps have a options screen instead of it just automatically playing or downloading it like it used to. And probably a few other things as well.

Yeah - I got it about 14 hours ago. I assumed it was for the arrival of the Internet Explorer app.

I hadn't noticed the new options on the apps - but I did notice (as I assumed IE was up for download) that when I tried to go to the app store - it took me straight back to the apps tab. Hmmm.....

I think the arrival of IE is imminent......

IE is not coming until fall.

Just found out all the update did was prep for the upcoming fall update(s). Some of us got the update today while the rest will be getting it next week. Link
