I find nothing wrong with MS giving gamers what they want. XBLA is giving 360 plenty of variety this year alone. 

I mean MS could go the Sony route and release new IPs.....but theres the chance they might turn out like Starhawk, and 360 gamers know what they want. But again, XBLA is full of origional ideas and were gonna see plenty more this year like the summer of arcade. 

Gears sells 5 million a piece at least. You make what the people want. 

Well I didnt see this coming, the magazine just ruined the surprise!

But as a owner of all Gears novels, its a strong bet this is a Pendulum Wars game, with the ending having Marcus thrown in jail.

yep, if people wouldn't like to play halo and gear, they would stop purchasing it and then microsoft would see that people want something else. but they give fans the games as long as they want, i don't see a problem in that. and i love those guys alwas saying "they only have gears and halo". no, they have many more exclusives, not selling as much as halo or gear but most sony games also don't sell as much as gran turismo or uncharted. and if people would really like the sony exclusives so much  and if they would be really so important to purchase a ps3 instead of an xbox, i wonder why only 5 percent of ps3 ownes buy a game like heavy rain. seems like most people don't care about the exclusives and are happy with games available for both consoles.

even if we wouldn't get any exclusives for ps3 and 360 we would have enough great mulri-plat games we will never have the chance to play because of lack of time.

exclusives are only a small part of games people purchase, it's not as important as many try to make it (except nintendo, they almost only sell consoles because of their exclusives) people in gaming forums are always more excited for exclusives, if the same games wouldn't be exclusives, they would'nt be so excited about the game lol logic of some fans...

Business model, Gaming strategy, same thing. My point is Microsoft could be better than Sony in this area. But even so, they could still suck. It's like that old saying: you can be healthier than someone with super obesity, but that doesn't mean your healthy. In Microsoft's case, they could have a better strategy than Sony, but they could still have a poor strategy.

Someone should make a thread asking which company has the best strategy.
