I don't quite get this.
Was Ex Troopers a rumored and hyped Vita title ? Or is it because the 3DS gets a game and even a Playstation platform but not their handheld one ?
To me it rather looks like Capcom wants to kill the 3DS and PS3 with this announcement :P

People just want to stir things up.

This.

Famitsu’s unveiled EX Troopers in its new issue this week for 3DS and PS3 as a spin-off to Lost Planet.

The game, which was trademarked at the end of last year, will take place at a school academy of sorts featuring the fight between pirates and Akrid aliens on EDN-3rd.

It’ll also feature an anime look to it and, though it’s set in the world of Lost Planet, with Capcom hoping that players see it as a new title rather than a spin-off.

The game will be produced by Monster Hunter veteran Shintaro Kojima.

It’ll be playable at the end of next month at the Capcom Summer Jam in Japan. Development is 60% finished.

Andriasang has more details. Capcom is set to release Lost Planet 3 for PS3, 360 and PC early next year.

LoL Capcom must really hate the Vita, no Monster Hunter 4 for Vita and now this.

Do u even know how much Crapcom expects LP3 to sell? And this is just a spinoff.

I dont quite understand this, why would they hate the Vita? Do you think its hatred and not a big bag of money from Nintendo that made Crapcom decide to release MH4 on 3DS? To me it sounds childish lol.

Don't you think that if Capcom were making Monster Hunter for the Vita they would want to announce it with Sony at their E3 this year and make a much bigger bang than just a random announcement.

Since they rarely even bother to localize Monster Hunter in the west, E3 really isn't the place for Monster Hunter announcements.

An anime lost planet game for the ps3 and 3ds....I can live with that.

No no, Capcom hates all Nintendo platforms. They want to save the Vita.

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

This is why  I cannot stand to be on this site any longer.

IT IS NOT capcoms responsibility to deliver a fanbase to a platform it the platform makers job . They are a 3rd party developer, they do whats best for them and VIta due SONY is not best for them.

as for the news..Great might get it for both if its good.

No, but Japan "hates" Vita:

6,340 this week, new low

Skipped the whole 7k mark altogether!

Not sure how this game is going to kill the Vita.

VITA = FLOP
