Forums - Gaming - PS Vita isn't a 'very strong product', claims Miyamoto

VideoGamer

Sony's PlayStation Vita isn't a "very strong product," legendary Nintendo video games creator Shigeru Miyamoto has told EDGE magazine.

Asked what he thought of the handheld, Miyamoto said: "I think I really can't say."

However, he went go on to offer a rather damming critique.

"It's obviously a very hi-spec machine and you can do lots of things with it, but I don't really see the combination of software and hardware that really makes a very strong product," said Miyamoto. "But I can't really say"

He concluded: "I'm not looking at Vita as happy that it's not selling well, or scared that it would sell well - I'm not looking at Vita that way."

Time for some popcorn!

WHERE IS MY KORORINPA 3

20% sunny with a chance of shitstorm.

I was coming to condemn Miyamoto for stooping but he didn't really say anything too bad. In fact, his views mirror my own. The Vita hardware is phenomenal when it comes to making games. I'm still waiting to see which company will show us what that true potential will be.

He's basically saying what everyone else saying. It needs softwares.

Goku wasn't a very strong fighter. Then, he went Super Saiyan.

Wow nice misleading headline, they have the makings of a true journalist. Going by what he actually said I could make an equally true title as thus:

PS Vita may be a 'very strong product', claims Miyamoto.

Nintendo clearly knows what theyre talking about ^_^

This is probably the most positive Playstation Vita review I have ever read.

That journalist is bad and should feel bad, talk about taking Shiggy's quote out of context.
