Forums - PC Discussion - Mike Capps: Epic Games has a PC-exclusive game in the works

Gears of War and Fortnite dev Epic Games is getting back to its roots with a PC-exclusive project, creative lead Cliff Bleszinski and president Mike Capps announced today during a PAX East panel. "We might be working on a PC-only title," Capps teased, before Bleszinski picked up where he left off: "Let me say that again: we are working on a PC game."

The panel is still going on, but we'll be sure to chat to the Epic folks as soon as it's over.

Update: Epic Games prez Mike Capps told us after the panel that the unannounced PC project is currently underway, and that the current plans are to keep the game exclusive to the PC platform. Unsurprisingly, he wouldn't tell us anything else.

Please be Unreal 3 or Unreal Tournament 4. :)

I'm hoping for an Unreal entry but if that were to be so, it would be multiplatform. Perhaps it will be a smaller title like Shadow Complex.

Probably a free 2 play shooter

I must say, as I recently bought a decent laptop, PC gaming is fantastic. The sheer amount of content is overwhelming. Steam and Amazon are constantly selling games for super cheap, I just got Metro 2033, Darkness 2, Serious Sam 3 for $29. I haven't had to pay full price for a single game, I even got Skyrim for$39 the week it came out. For me, moving on from the consoles, until next-gen, has been a great decision. And as a gamer, being able to play games at 1080p and 60fps is utopia. Especially compared to the sub 30fps slog and (sometimes) 720p experience that consoles offer.

My point is, Epic developing a PC exclusive title is awesome news.

I hope it's a new UT, that doesn't suck like UT3 and UT2003, but is in line with UT and UT2004.

A proper multiplayer Unreal, I hope (like everyone else in this thread).

I hope for UT4... but at the same time I hope not for UT4 since I know already they would screw it up, just to display Unreal Engine 4.

How bit is your laptop? 15-20 inches? Yeah....not truly HD. Does the resolution even go up to 1080p? It shouldn't since you won't notice a difference between 720p in a screen that small.
