I don't know what you mean by not even close, as it may not be head and shoulders above the Best 3rd gen PS3 and 360 games, but it sure does look better, take this from a guy that owns both a 360 and a PS3, add the Garden Demo and the is nothing like that on the 360 or the PS3 and thats just facts, also the fact that it was running on one of the very first Dev Kits, and was got up and running in a matter of weeks speaks for it's self.

I just love how its always Fanboys that trys to downplay the Wii U. I just wish i had a way of seeing their faces come E3.


Im not a fanboy, I owned all 3 consoles. But Zelda Wii U DOES NOT look better than some PS360's top looking games.

nah its pretty much just your opinion, i don't agree with player when he says its not close but as someone who has played games like uncharted, metal gear solid 4, gran turismo, GoW etc i can honestly say that the wii u tech demoes were not better looking than games i've seen on current HD consoles

that would be irrelevant as he wasn't reffering to what is going to happen at the next E3 but stating that he was unimpressed by what he saw at the last one

Except it's always mostly the fanboys that come to the "Wii U is going to be weak threads" and say shit, while any thread that points out the Wii U is more powerful then current gen systems they keep away like its the plague, or try to downplay it.

And as for the Graphics part i have also played all them PS3 games and yes they come close, but the Wii U Tech demos where better and smooter. So i guess we will just have to agree to disagree on this part.

oh please, its the NInty fans that are mostly posting these topics in the forums in the first place! Maybe if some would stop crying and just simply ignore the "bad" articles and just post the "good" ones they will feel better

But people that think the Wii U is going to be more weak then a PS3 and 360 i call fanboys, mostly cos of them 2 Demos prove them wrong plus the fact them 2 demos look so good when they where only done in a few weeks, and on very early dev kits, something Developers that have used their names have said that the dev kits are getting better with each version. But it seems some people would be more happy to believe anonymous devs, their the people i call fanboys, people who like to try to downplay the Wii U at every chance they get, instead of looking at facts.


people can only judge from what they've seen so far... and for some it hasn't impressed them and therefore their comments reflect that

Well, it's been a year since we last seen anything about the Wii U. An increase in both power and features could have been added since then. It's not like they only spent a year on games and if they did then we'll have plently of awesome games to play and see on launch day. Either way, it's going to be better than what we've saw at E3 last year. Games, graphics, or everything all together.

From my understanding, any dev complaining right now either is using version 1 or 2 of the SDK or is trying to run an unoptimized in house game engine.

There are approximately 5 different SDK's in use by various developers and many middleware engines were quickly and easily optimized for Wii U. In house game engines are at the mercy of those developers. If they don't have it optimized, of course your performance will suffer greatly. Or if you are using alpha SDK's, your performance will be lower than what other devs are seeing.

Or if you are doing both, alpha dev kit and unoptimized in house game engine, then you are a moron for complaining.

My guess is that Sony or MS is behind this. Sony did this with the Sega Saturn and again with the Sega Dreamcast. They told retail stores that they had secret shoppers out making visits. If the secret shopper asked about a competing system and the store employee recommended the Sony system instead, they would have a chance to win a free trip to ???. Best Buy associates were trashing the Saturn left and right just as the PS1 came out and Electronic Boutique did the same with the PS2. Sony even had the balls to place a huge floor sign outside the entrance to all Electronic Boutiques on the release day of the Dreamcast stating the "Awesome Power" of the PS2 and "taking pre-orders now". This was a year before the PS2 was even released and the final specs weren't even set yet.
The named sources have said great things about the Wii U. Who exactly are these anonymous sources? Just wait for the Wii U to come out and be your own judge as too many people get paid by corporations to blog nowadays.
