Regarding that No Retreat, No Surrender article......... looking back, it's a good thing that Van Damme broke his contract and did not return to make No Retreat, No Surrender 2, otherwise there would never have been Bloodsport.

A world without Bloodsport? UNTHINKABLE....!!!!!!

Regarding Loren Avedon.......... sure, his acting wasn't oscar worthy, but he was and still is for that matter a damn fine Martial Artist, check out this fight demo of his from 2010 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zd_K_V3Z5JU&feature=results_main&playnext=1&list=PL13AA222E30649BE3

Not to bad for an old man Loren.......Keith Cooke was 1000 times more skilled imo.
Not in the same league.

Last night I watched Falling Down for the first time in about 20 years. My famiily groaned but loved it by the end

Never watched Breakaway Pass and of the movies you picked up I only saw Ninja Scroll, Romancing the Stone, and Schindler's List.

@ DieAppleDie

Keith Cooke was fooking AWESOME.

Keith Cooke vs Hwang Jang Lee............. now THAT's a fight i would have paid mega money to see.

Then again after what Hwang did to that guy in the army, i think he would have beaten Bruce "i'm untouchable in my avid fans eyes" Lee

Read the trivia section here....... http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0399007/bio

One hit Hwang kill.

Bruce Lee was an mma pioneer, of course he would stand a chance against a pro fighter from today........could a 60s bball player be a professional player today? No way.

I don't feel like doing a top 5 martial arts movies, like the thread title suggests, but here's just a general top 5

Not in any order, but numbered for the sake of numbering.

1. American History X
2. Shawshank Redemption
3. Billy Madison
4. Inglourious Basterds/Pulp Fiction (Lumped together since they're both Quentin Tarantino)
5. First Blood (Rambo)

That Marvel Time-Line is quite cool! Interesting to read.

Now if only you really would have read it like I didn't.

Hey you!! I read it... all of it.....

Best Mel Gibson film of all time is Mad Max. The sequels were crap though.
