the effects were done by Industrial Light and Magic.

Ra One was the most expensive bollywood film thats why they were able to afford that kind of stuff.Most film do not have the budgets though

~~~~ Mario Kart 8 drove far past my expectations! Never again will I doubt the wheels of a Monster Franchise! :0 ~~~~
Imo based of living in India for like a month at a time sometimes, I think the average middle class or rich person does not care about poor people. For example many times I would see and ambulance trying to get through traffic and no one would care to move aside.
The Value of human being is far less then in other societies and it makes sense. There are so many people who have no real purpose in life there as there are sooo many people.
Also Ra on sucked, Don 2 had great action and a good story.
The women there are quite attractive but are hard to get especially the ones outside the big cities. When I was in India I always try to chat up some of the girls from the village and nearby villages. The attitude is if your not marrying me we are not having a relationship.
Girls there have an attitude that men are creeps and I think its true. Here, if there an attrative people look but make sure the girl does not notice. There people stare the girl down the whole time as she walks by.  I noticed that...
I lived in Bangalore for 3 months and I work in a company with many Indians. So I have opinions on both the country and the people, will start with the country:
The country is a mess, the respect for basic civic rules is well bellow what I expected, the drivers and people don't obey the traffic signals, many throw garbage on the street, and the personal hygiene is not very good, I was actually surprised to find so little sick people.
The distribution of wealth is another big problem, Bangalore as a technology capital has growth very much but in a messy way, you can easily find nice, big, smart buildings next to the most poor of the house made of pieces of wood, plastic and metallic material.
The goverment has a lot of control over many thing but at the same time is very corrupt and it seems the same clans or families get elected every time.
The food is too spicy in the south and I can't get used to people eating everything with their hands. In the north the situation improves a little as you can actually find non spicy food as the basic condiments don't always include 3 kinds of pepper and 2 of chili.
The tv is heavely censored, they had a lot of good local and international channels with great movies with a lot of cuts, including some that I could not understand because it were not violence or sex related.
The noise, o my god the noise, it was driving me crazy, people who own a car think they own the road so they honk for everything, one almost hit me with his car because it was in a traffic jam and he took the sidewalk to move.
A lot of their entertainment rotates around their movies, most of the music they hear and the videos they see are taken from the upcoming movies, that is part of the reason almost all their movies have singing and dancing.
It has many nice and historical places to see, they have a rich ancestral culture with temples and castle to visit, and since their invasion and independece was not very long ago many of the places are still standing.
They have a real communication problems as almost every state has its own lenguage, even if Hindi is the official one, the protection of lenguages act prevents from teaching it as the only one, so most of them must learn english to survive and is the goverment one as is the only understood almost everywhere but the accent and vocabulary is not so good. That leads to many regional jealousy.
Ok, that should be all for the country, next time I will comment on the people.
The honking almost made me go crazy. I slept on a roof in Mumbai for several months and after learning to fall asleep in that noise I am now COMPLETELY immune to any distraction when I want to sleep.
I could take a nap in the middle of the street if I wanted.
My honest and ill-informed opinion: dense, poor with a few very rich areas. Education is strong, and IT sector is growing quickly.
THEY FOOD WITH THEIR BARE HANDS!!!!!!!!!!!!
Firstly, it has been proven1 that the tactile stimulus from the hands actually enhances the experience of eating. According to Ayurveda, digestion starts with the fingertips. As someone who has lived that lifestyle for several years I can personally attest to the fact that food tastes better when eaten with the hands.
Secondly, it's more hygienic than using forks/knives/spoons. Think about it, it's obvious.
Thirdly, it's more practical for whoever serves the food.
Lol not all Indians eat with their hands.
It all depends...
In certain areas British/Western culture had a bigger impact.
In certain parts of India, even back in the days (50+ years back) people ate with spoons and dressed up in dress shirts and coats for any event. Always had tea when guests come over and have tea in the afternoon.
I think in Northern India people do not eat with their hands, but in Southern Indian they do.
I remember I made a joke about a younger cousin who like eating with her hands "Stop eating like a South Indian!"
In what the layman calls Hindu culture everyone eats with the hands.
"In certain parts of India, even back in the days (50+ years back) people ate with spoons and dressed up in dress shirts and coats for any event. Always had tea when guests come over and have tea in the afternoon."
Good thing that's over. The British tried to impregnate the culture with their 'superiority' claims. One of the most underrated terrorist attacks in the history of the world. They should be ashamed.
Luckily Gandhi ended that.
The caste system is holding india back. Until this outdated system is thrown out a lot of people will miss out on great opportunities to make their lives better.
The so called nice india people that you see in other countries are generally from higher classes. Some a very stuck up by the way they talk (i.e they think they better then everyone), however the genuine ones are very nice people..
They bobble their heads when they are proud of something they say.
They play decent cricket lol. Except this tour of Australia in 2011/12.
But in general i'd say 80% of India is seen as very poor and exploited by a few people. From what we are lead to believe it is developing rapid as more jobs are being outsourced to india (call centers, IT jobs, even factories)
