What old franchise should Nintendo revive first on the Wii U?

Star Fox 220 47.31%

F-Zero 110 23.66%

Wave Race 29 6.24%

Top-Down Zelda 55 11.83%

Show me the results. 28 6.02%

Total:442

Nice. The fact Ninty are trying to get more devs on-board is always a good sign!

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.

Also, and this is a bad thing, did you notice that local multiplayer with WiiU is with 1 tablet and 3 wiimotes? Maybe it will only support 1 tablet controller after all...

You beat me to this discussion. At first when I watched the video, I thought I saw all of them using a Wii U tablet. So I got excited and thought, oh good they addressed this issue. So I replayed the video and I was wrong. How dissapointing. How is SS Bros going to work?

Hasn't Sakurai said that the next Smash Bros game has connectivity between WiiU and 3DS as one of the main focus?

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2012-04-26-new-super-smash-bros-to-focus-on-wii-u-3ds-connectivity

If so... 1 player uses the tablet controller with the others playing with their 3DS as WiiU controllers?

i disaprove... if nintendo refuses to make 4 wii u tablets possible,  then they're being lazy

With how the tablet works, I don't think anyone ever realistically expected the Wii U could support 4 of them ... Between the wireless bandwidth and the processing power required it would make the Wii U far too expensive.

Last time I checked the TV was still the main screen for the game. So knowing this It actually wouldn't be expensive. All it is, is a controller. I'm pretty sure the screen itself is not a mandatory feature and even if so 4 of them would't have to display the main game at once. They  could all be maps or something, you know little things. Nintendo is being lazy.

You ever try to wirelessly transmit 4 simultaneous near 0 latency video feeds with bi-directional input, IR emission, NFC, a touch screen and a potential 50 foot radius?   Let me know how lazy you can be to get that working.

The rEVOLution is not being televised

2 controllers would be a step back. 4 controllers would be merely N64 standards. Nintendo should support 8 controllers.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

This is 21st century where technology literraly ten folds itself every couple or so years. And like I said, if the video feeds are not at 0 latency, turn it off!

I just gave you a 21st century problem that still kicks the snot out of most highly seasoned engineers.  But as of the latest SDK, they've done more than most people in the field expected.  I don't know how many they have working at once but the latency is among the lowest you can get for a commercial device.

While it may be possible to do all that now, how much could it cost? And more important, would you buy a console capable of doing that for 500-600 $/€ and then buy another 3 controllers at 150-200 $/€ each one? Not many people would buy it.

The most sensible aproach is to go with 2 controllers. If you play alone you use the controller and if you play with 1 friend, both of you use controllers. 3 friends? 1 with the controller and the other 2 with wiimotes (like some demos from last year's E3), and with 4 friends you can have 2 teams each one with 1 controller and 1 wiimote.

Please excuse my bad English.

Wii U at 350? Hmm... well, if the games are there people won`t care and will buy it!

I bought my PS3 for 399$, but it was mainly because I knew it had blu-ray and many multimedia features.

The Wii-U won't even play DVDs or standard audio CDs.  So 350$ seems expensive.  Unless the console has killer-graphics, the Wii U should be 299$.

I hope we'll see Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 on Wii U.  I would really like to see new gameplay mechanics for Wii U.
