I love my Vita but I am not biased to think because I love something must mean whatever it does = awesome and deserves a free ride. The machine needs games. Other then Uncharted and Fifa there isn't really anything else worth buying, especially not at the £30-£40 mark that they are at.
Sony need to get some AAA titles on there, no that doesn't mean some shitty tie in of Killzone or Resistance that people don't care about it means things like Gran Turismo, some GTA game, feck even an updated version of San Andreas would help. It needs unique titles and that is where I have a feeling it could be a problem. Because Vita games are not many miles away from a PS3 game. Which just seems to me we will be seeing more ports then actual new games.

i have no idea wht i just read, so it must be BS.

At best its a $300 handheld with only a few games available. I never understand why people expect miracles.

3DS didn't do well, actually exceeding predecessors so far, until it reduced its price sub-$200 and had a far larger library of quality games that hit mass appeal.

Vita won't be at that for a year at least. Next Xmas will be the first time it sales well relative to the PSP and even then it will be less due to substantially higher cost barrier.

Only way to fix is to redesign as a smartphone.

3DS actually had a decent first week. I thought the second week (and onwards for quite a while) was pretty shit though.

On Topic: The sales for PS-Vita in the first week were neither astounding or terrible. They are also pretty much irrelevant to its future sales.

"It's easy to deduce that Sony has not given regional figures for Vita sales because those figures would not be at all flattering. High-level sources in the UK – that's people with access to the actual ChartTrack sales data – put Vita's sales at around a quarter of those achieved by the PSP during its launch month, according to PocketGamer.biz. That would put its sales at somewhere around 46,000 next to PSP first-week sales of 185,000 in 2005"

How come VgChartz has UK sales at 90k+ then?

$250.

Rol already stated my point, but adding the mandatory memory card adn taxes, etc, you're far closer to $300 or more. That is the real base price.

Sales Sales Sales! Too many sales threads....

Sony seems to be fine with the sales so I suppose in their eyes, they dodged a bullet. It could have been much worse.
