The Elite Four at last. My body (and Team) is ready .

Edit - Done and Done. My Lapras and Lucario steamrolled the Champion's team

Congratulations! And yeah, those would would provide great coverage against her team.

Lots of fun stuff to do after the game though. I'm almost at 100 hours and I feel like I'm only 3/4 of the way done traveling and finding all the secrets. Of course, 10 of those hours were spent finding all the different natured Dittos (since now with an Everstone, hatchlings have a 100% chance of getting the Ditto's Nature. Game Freak is finally having mercy on us competitive breeders. )

I've got an Adamant and Brave nature, so i'm pretty much set whenever I start to breed my Dragon team (since I've read that there's a couple of free shinies to grab in the new games, especially a shiny Gible and Haxorus ).

And yeah, there's tons to do. I'm still levelling up my team, to keep them up to par with the upgraded post-game teams, but i've already faced Alder and Hugh and they were some really good&tough fights if you're not prepared XD.

- Lackluster offer of Water-type pokemon, at least up to this part of the game. And no, Psyduck isn't a viable choice no matter what.

That blue guy with double attack power trait is a competent water pokemon, no?

When I made that post I was still early on the game. During the late half of the game, once you get Surf, you start getting access to more competent Water types, such as Lapras (the one on my team).

Double attack power trait? You mean the Torrent Ability? That's a risky ability to use, since it means that your Water type pokemon has to be on a constant 1/3rd of it's total HP in order to activate that Ability (every Water type move increases it's power by 1,5x). Excluding the Water starter, the only other pokemons that can get that ability are Panpour and Simipour, and it's a hidden ability, meaning that you can only get them via Hidden Grottoes or Dream World (in either case, it's a pretty rare occurance).

You need to go up into route 13 and into Lacunosa Town. Once you reach Lacunosa, keep going west until you reach Opelucid City and face the 7th Gym.

By the way, that's a pretty good team you got there .

You can catch the pre-evolve early in game, I think. The trait is called Overpowered or something. It takes the ATTK stat and multiple by 2.

Your team is good and balanced enough to even sweep the Elite 4. As long as you have Ice, Dark, Psychic and Fighting moves you'll dominate them and the Champion .

@Galaki - You mean Huge Power? If so, it's pretty much wasted on Azumarill, unless you catch an Atk Nature and EV train it's Atk stat. Even so, Azumarill it's a pretty weak water poke (has a low base stat plateu - 410), very low Speed stat which will leave it open to any kind, especially since most of it's Type matchups pokes are faster.

If someone wants to use Azumarill in their team, they'd be much better served if they tried to find a Sap Sipper one. Sap Sipper absorbs Grass type moves (one less weakness for Azumarill to deal with) and it gives an Attack boost of one stage per attack (Bullet Seed only activates it once though).

Overall, i'd avoid using Azumarill at all .
