Well i think that not instantly directly hit will hurt 3DS sales, Because of the big installbase of DS, there's almost not so much to sell more than what already has been sold, so it'll not push the DS sales, And no one will go buy a Nintendo 3DS just to play a DS game, so these games like almost BW, (these 2 almost unafected DS sales worldwide basis), these games will not push any system sales.

You can argue, yes but people can buy a 3DS to play future games, those people will just wait for these future games, and then they'll bought a 3DS, it'll be very low the situation of someone buying a 3DS to play these games.

So these games will just do nothing in terms of consoles sales, well they'll do but it will be almost unsignificant. i bet for and 2~3% worldwide sales push in that time and 4~5% of 3DS sales push.

i am glad they are still supporting the ds, i just hope its not pokemon grey. I hope its a new game. although pokemon is the franchise that makes me buy nintendos new handhelds, so for now i will be holding off on the 3ds.

Right...because god of war 2 is comparable to a pokemon game......good lad.

It is not good for the 3ds because guys like me who have a ds do not need to buy a 3ds to play the latest pokemon game...thus hurting sales of the 3ds, their newest console.

Look at ANY vita thread and you will see how wonderfull Nintendo fans really are.  

But you realize it's a sequel to a DS pokemon game, not a new entry in the series, right?

Also keep in mind Nintendo may be wondering which direction to take the series on the 3DS, pokemon has found its success in 2D. Take all things into consideration and you'll see it makes sense.

It was silly of him to compare an RPG with Action game.

I was kidding, but it is comparable, as it's sony's second biggest brand against nintendo second biggest brand.

It would help the PS3 a lot back then! But sony went for the obvious financial path, release it on the behemoth ps2 (ds).
