Where do you look for it, I found it pretty easily at my local gamestore.

Bestbuy

I had expiring money ($40) to spend.

To be fair I would never by niche JRPG at bestbuy, and distrubtion wise I would never send them that many copies either. It makes more sense to focus on gamestop and other game speciality stores (Yes they do exist) for niche titles.

It's currently "in stock" at amazon.ca and amazon.com.

I want to get it as I never played it on the PS2 but it seems like it's out of stock in most places, and a few stores have also upped the price. The online store from which I use to buy games has even removed it completely...
I just checked Amazon UK and the lowest price for a new copy of the game is £59.99! Ship more copies, Namco!

Play have it for£34.99 with free postage. http://www.play.com/Games/DS/4-/20064374/Tales-Of-The-Abyss/Product.html?searchtype=allproducts&searchsource=0&searchstring=tales+of+the+abyss&urlrefer=search

I got mine back upon its release back in November and I wholly recommend it.  I'm not even halfway through it, but it's one of the best 6th gen RPGs I've played.

Didn't realize this was out yet. Just looked at Amazon.com and wtf out of stock

When is amazon ever out of stock.

Namco went with a very limited print run in the US. I would have picked it up, since I never bought it before, but it's completely MIA at the stores I visited, and since it's not like there aren't a ton of other things to do I'm probably going to end up passing entirely.

Yea I had same problem with Unlimited Adventure for One Piece.  I think they are Namco Bandai as well.  Went to like 5 stores before I found it.

Then namco not bringing a ton of games over.

I really despise namco

So if Best Buy says "ship to store" under availability, I assume that means they don't already have one  in stock, correct?

Lmao, the GameStop where I lived had one extra copy of the game (the rest were reserved, but I thought I reserved it, but I think it was Animal Crossing 3DS) and I got it. I love it to death. I'm glad I didn't get the PS2 version (though I don't own a PS2, sadly; didn't get one because I don't like the loading times).

I know it's in relatively good supply here in Toronto.

Got a copy for my wife on Tuesday. Here's hoping it keeps her entertained between classes.
