I've been re-playing all the Silent Hill games recently and i've been trying to remember all the plot "Holes" <--- SH4 reference ! 
and try to find the holes there and make them gone (another reference ) , but one thing that made me wonder , in Silent Hill 2 , the original theme is called Theme of Laura right? , Laura is that annoying girl who talks to every character and is unnefected by Silent Hill , she never sees the monsters and she doesn't get killed, but her past is very unclear

Laura is an orphan who befriended Mary Shepherd-Sunderland a year prior to the events of Silent Hill 2, having been a patient at the same hospital as her. but i think Laura has a lot to do with Cheryl/Alyssa from the first game, and that she changed her name to Claudia Wolf later on , Yes Claudia wolf this woman

So why the hell do i think thats her ? , well you see claudia used to be good friends with Alyssa, because Alyssa used to be abused by her mother, for the cultic stuff, and because she was a "Witch" , and so did Claudia, but Claudia's past was never explained, just in a scene in SH3 that Vincent mentions that she had an abusive father, because her father was a religious nut, EXACTLY like Alyssa and her mother Dahlia (these two pics are for Alyssa when she is 7 years old and 14years old)

and here is a picture of Claudia/Laura with Alyssa/Cheryl praying to their God to bring paradise, and in their belief if they want to create a new world of paradise they have to "Burn" the current world to ashes in order to create another one without sin and abusive people (like their families)
but then in SH Origins , We see alyssa burned badly as a ritual by her mother Dahlia so that she can resurrect that god , but Alyssa wanted revenge on her mother and the rest of the world for abusing her powers.
after she was burned the main character Travis saves her from the burning house (which was actually her house)
So when he saves her, she is sent to the Hospital ,
the very Hospital that Mary is sent to , Yes Mary from SH2, Jame's wife
from there , Laura/Claudia used to "Run away" from wherever she came from, (in my theory is that she ran away from her abusive father, Leonard Wolf)
what also evident to this is the source of her name according to the writer
Her name is taken from the nonfiction work, "No Language But a Cry" by Richardo D'Ambrosio, the story of a young girl's search for happiness while struggling to overcome the scars of abuse.

Afterwards , she ran away to visit the burned down Alyssa, frequently and her nurse Lisa , Which is one evidence why Laura knows Lisa (hey they never met since Lisa = SH1 and Laura = SH2 ?!? )
but no since lisa is Alyssa's nurse, and she used to bandage her because she was burned in third degree but she was still alive, because of a spell by her mother (she is supposed to be burned to be brought a God)
So since they're both in the same hospital Laura and Mary, they met each other, and thats how they knew each other in Silent Hill 2, Laura unlike James used to see Mary as a very happy-go-lucky person and very cheerful, why ? , because Alyssa made sure that no harm will ever hurt Laura , and that everything she sees is pure and contained no sin, thus led to the creation of Maria , a cheerful "Lively" version of Mary, and what James liked instead of the dying sick Mary he felt sorry for , and that is why Laura didn't see any of the monsters and was a cheerful girl despite all the stuff that is happening around her.
she also mention that she stole a letter from Rachel's desk, and Rachel is Mary's Nurse, here is the video

in other words, Alyssa damns whoever she wants (Dahlia, James...ect) and protect whoever she wants (Laura, Mary, Lisa;until she found out about her PCTV addiction and then turned her into a monster like the rest of the nurses )

in the ending of SH1 Alyssa finally joins with Cheryl (her other self) and then become a dying monster (final boss) , which she then takes a bit of herself and gives to Harry Mason as a baby, which later turns into heather, hence why Heather is the daughter of Dahlia since she is Alyssa
why do you ask she did this ? so that she can resurrect again as whole but that didn't happen thanks to the ending of SH4

In the "Leave" ending, James leaves Silent Hill with Laura (how he found her and convinced her to leave Silent Hill with him is not revealed) and they travel through Toluca Graveyard. James is following Laura, who is a few feet ahead of him. Laura then stops and waits for James to catch up to her. They vanish into the mist, one after the other. This ending could mean that James is possibly intending to carry out Mary's wishes to adopt Laura.
Laura does not appear in the game's other three endings, so it is not revealed to what happens to her. However, since the town was never dangerous to her, it is assumed that she gets out of Silent Hill unharmed.

Other than that, not much is known about him, or his past, but it can be speculated that Vincent was raised alongside Claudia Wolf. This can be evidenced by the fact that Vincent mentions seeing (possibly as a child) Claudia being abused by her father: Leonard Wolf. He says that Leonard's "cruel" acts have been "burned into [his] mind".

As a child, Claudia was raised alongside Alessa Gillespie, Heather Mason's original incarnation. As such, she sees Alessa as a sister and refers to Heather by her past name. Claudia's mission is to succeed where Dahlia Gillespie failed in Silent Hill 1, impregnating Heather with God and hastening its "birth". Claudia also holds a grudge against Harry Mason, the main protagonist from the first game who averted God's birth the first time and kept "Alessa" hidden away.

what also adds up is that Laura/Claudia is raised in Ashfield, the place where Silent Hill 4 , YES 4 takes place, and where Frank Sunderland lives , see his name? the same last name as James Sunderland.
maybe he IS james but older, and a "different" person

In some moments in the game, the player can find letters mentioning a character named Rachel, including a bloody nurse uniform with her name on it. In Silent Hill 2, Rachel was the name of Mary Shepherd-Sunderland's nurse. Frank Sunderland may have had some connection to her because of the letters in his apartment. Frank also mistakenly thought that Mike was Rachel's boyfriend.
Also, if the player examines the picture above Henry's couch at one point in the game, Henry states that Frank's son and daughter-in-law disappeared in Silent Hill ("I got this photo from Sunderland, the superintendent. I hear his son and daughter-in-law disappeared in Silent Hill a few years back"). This alludes to James and the story of Silent Hill 2.
adds up yet again right? 
, i mean why does James's father have a close contact with Rachel, the nurse who was watching over Mary , james's wife? , and later he has a bloody cloth of her (killed her? so that no one knows that he killed his wife?, changed his name too!) , also Mary has the same last name as Alex Shepard, the guy from Homecoming, but i haven't replayed this game yet, so i can't remember it well
So does that all make sense right? , Claudia does seem a lot like an older Laura, and if you read her Wikia , you will see this picture
