Millenium your figures for ME2 are wrong. Understandable since Vgchartz itself makes this mistake. However look at this article. http://www.vgchartz.com/article/6744/americas-preorders-chart-23rd-jan-2010/

There we go ME2 at 1 week to launch is at 475k, not 414k as you have listed. I pointed this out on the last vgchartz preorder article but it got downvoted. Site is doing the same thing for FF13-2, where it is taking FF13's 2 weeks to launch as 1 week to launch.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

I'm going to call BS on ME3 preorders lol. I think we'll be overshooting yet again

Obviously...but it's still going to do better than ME2 did FW (probably much better at that)

Halo 4 pre-orders are starting to get rather disappointing....oh well it aaaaaaaawas bound to happen with no release date in sight.

Surely yes. I don't think it'll sell much more than ME2 though (360 version). Maybe 500k more in the end.

If it's good enough (like Skyrim was to Oblivion) it could sell much more...although I doubt it will.

3-3.5 million is what I'm expecting lifetime for ME3 360 version

4.5m+ is what it will sell on the X360 alone.

That would be entirely awesome if it sold that much.

Last time I checked Mass Effect 3 had a huge opening but rather dissapointing legs. But I doubt ME3 will sell over 4 million 3.5 million looks pretty reasonable 4 million is also possible if it gets similar ratings to the first one. And why the drop for Twisted Metal? Anyways the laucnh weeek should be bigger than LBP 2, Killzone 3 and inFamous 2 based on these pre orders. And I almost choked when I looked at the Star Wars preorder sales and the sales for NPD. Although VGC does look like its improving it tracking for PS3 games and possibly 360 games as well.

Will have a look at that article in a little bit when I have some time, thanks for pointing it out though!

@yo_john:

Give Halo 4 some time, as soon as new info comes out, and we get closer to release, I suspect it will pick up faster than Reach did, and it's already way in front at the moment, so should still be good. (Plus Halo 4's current total is still more pre-orders than what some big games launched at in 2010(

If those xenoblade numbers are accurate, then I guess 250k FW is not out of questions. I am still a little bit skeptical but I hope the best for such amazing game. Luigi's mansion doing good numbers as well, RE is still low though ;(
I would expect RE:R to sell 150-200k Jap, 150-200k Americas & 100-150k EU so 350k FW ww on the low end or 500-500k high end.

I was following Star Wars: The Old Republic, and we had preorders at over 950k units...

It actually only sold 600k units in December...

I dont think pre-order tracking is an exact science... especially PC.

Im a bit suspicious of FFXIII-2 too.

Yeah, they look way too high on both consoles.

great numbers for mass effect 3 !!
i want to see it passing 1 million before the release

The Elder Srolls V : Skyrim

After this holiday, I've realized that big internet hype games DO actual sell well in the real world too. If Skyrim & Battlefield can blow past their franchise norms, then I think ME3 can do the same.
