It will be interesting to see from whom and how much share the new windows phones are going to steal. Titan 2 and lumina 900 will be by far the best phones on the market, and WP7 is definitely the best mobile operating system.

@xenostar - I could definitely see WP getting into the mid-teens or higher by this time next year. One of the key things for the conference last night was the announce of strong retail push for the phones. That combined with the 2 best phones on the market ... The new Nokia blows the iPhone out of the water on design, and of course WP7 is roughly 10003234x better than iOS.

They sell a lot of Apples products during the holidays. Is this a surprise to anyone? The sales level out the rest of the year and the iOS marketshare is still tiny compared to Android.

Perhaps that is what you wish would happen, but this doesn't happen according to the statistics. The statistics show traditionally a substantial growth into Q1 from Q4 - which includes an 8% jump in market share last year.

One thing that is certain, no Android phone comes close to iPhone in terms of sales. 3 iPhone models are essentially doing the same sales as the entire Android market.

Market share =/= sales share.
If Android had a 5% market share, 47% sales, even if down from 60% would still increase their market share.
Similarly, if the Iphone has over 43% market share, this data actually shows a slowing of the decrease in market share for the iphone, but still a decrease.
