Metacritics go down as the consoles get older and older. Poor Uncharted, it should be at least 94, same with Gears 3. I guess the 3 after both of their names makes reviewers nitpick more.

Poor Wii, at least what I assume the two 'Great games' are (Skyward Sword and Xenoblade Chronicles) are two of the best games I have ever played with the latter being arguably my favourite game of the gen.

IMO 2011 was a mixed year, the first half was very disappointing, but the second was fantastic. To name a few it saw releases of Xenoblade Chronicles, Skyward Sword, Super Mario 3DLand, Mario Kart 7, Tales of the Abyss 3D, Uncharted 3, Monster Hunter 3G, PSV launch, etc.
