Worst advertising ever. I mean atleast they are finally advertising now. But their commercials suck. Yes... even the Kevin Butler ones. They focused more on a wannabe-comedian telling lame jokes than the actual games themselves. There was only about 5 seconds of actual gameplay in those commercials. An epic game like God of War 3 was being advertised and they only showed the game itself for about 5 seconds. NOTHING about any PS3 commercial invokes that feeling of "oh shit. I gotta go out and buy one of those".

Now the commercials are cluttered with the PS sound at the beginning, the LONG LIVE PLAY, the name of the game advertised, and the Sony MAKE BELIEVE logo at the end..... all of that taking up space in a 30 second commercial. It takes away from the game being advertised and leaves the viewer overwhelmed.

I just saw an Uncharted 3 commercial..... No Mention of it being EXCLUSIVE on Ps3 (most ppl seeing the commercial probably think it's on 360 also).... and the actual name of the game is QUICKLY flashed at the end, followed by an overwheming barrage of logos and slogans (Long live play, make believe, new price)

I've seen independant youtubers make better commercials for PS3 games. Sony is pathetic.

I can tell you Sony's adds in Hong Kong is ok. I mean they freaking advertised Gran Turismo 5 by putting posters in every train in our local railways and in Asia Game Show 2011 it was all Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft were nowhere to be found. I known it because i was there :)

Our Uk Ads this year have been quite stellar compared to the God awful "Start" adverts we had before them.

Sony adds in South America are average at best, way better than before but still not good. There are like 5 runnings constantly about "we are all players", one is great, one good, the other ones awful.

The other one that show from time to time is about Uncharted 3 and is bad, the voices are awful and what they show of the game does not invite to play.

God of War 3 is almost two years old.

Well in Holland they advertise alot better than Nintendo and Microsoft... Microsoft mostly shows Kinect dance games and Nintendo has a crappy 3DS Nintendogs advert with the 'perfect family'. Sony has commercials for Fifa 12, Uncharted 3 and BF3

Microsoft also has a MW3 commercial, it's a fine commercial by itself so they're doing right on that part.

Sony marketing is fine. They have their ups (kevin butler campaign/michael) and their downs (early creepy commercials)

BTW, the Michael commercial is without a doubt the best video game commercial I have ever witness so i don't know what the hell your talking about and just in case you have no idea what I'm talking about...

Sorry to disagree but this is the best

All these people in the UK talking about PS3 adverts - I've hardly seen any at all. It's all been 3DS and Kinect recently :S
