Forums - Sony Discussion - PS Vita freezes, touch screen problems reported, YouTube videos show system lock-ups non-responsive touch controls

What do you mean with hinge cracking?
Well, I'm Nintendo, but I had all sony console to. So If this is just software problem I'm sure Sony will release an update. I don't know when it cames with hardware problem. I have a plan to buy Vita, after read this I think I should wait.

While it doesn't exceed the record of 30% of failure... that's not a big deal.

You know when a CHILD gets a telling off and they start pointing at others and saying, "wahhh wasnt just me...."...

this is exactly the kind of boring rubbish I was talking about, take the report for what it is, accept it, and move on.

I was sure that @kowen would not want to read the truth.

Ethomaz does kinda have a point...so far it's just 1 guy in about 400k sure there might be others "Suffering in silent" but at this stage, it's too early to be getting panties in a twist. So I agree...right now, it's not a big deal.

PS One/2/p/3slim/Vita owner. I survived the Apocalyps3/Collaps3 and all I got was this lousy signature.

Xbox One: What are you doing Dave?

Come on, let's keep bad mouthing the Vita even though none of us got it yet. great job.

Same as the old PSP with reports of dead pixels, analog issues, and the Square button sticking. It's to be expected with a console launch and is another reason why many people wait before buying a new console. Since the arrival of the disc based systems, I can remember:

360: RRoD, System overheating, adapter actually burning
PS3: YLoD, Bricking, HDD issues
PSP: Dead Pixels, bricking after updates, square button sticking
3DS: Top screen scratching, loose hinges
DS Lite: Hinge cracking
DS: Hinge breaking
PS2: Disc Read Error, couldn't read many DVD's
PS1: Spindel would fall off, weak motor for spinning discs
Xbox: Would brick, HDD issues
GBA: Would get drunk and gamble away its paycheck
Dreamcast: Liked to hide in the closet and watch his wife have sex with other men

So the PSV having problems is no big deal. It's just the way things are. Cars, TV's, Phones, Computers, Clothes, --you name it and there's some percentage of defects.

I like how you have no Nintendo consoles on that list. Why? Because I still have my 64 and use it daily! The original one! My Wii has hit the floor countless times, My GC never had a problem, SNES lasted for 7 years, NES was originally stolen after 3.

The DS did have a dingy dark screen problem a few times though. My phone used to have phantom fingers when I first bought it where buttons would just press like crazy!

Nintendo is the only one with a seal of quality. There`s no competition in this sector, the Nintendo home consoles are  indestructible.

Gamecube was the ultimate in this regard (vid in Spanish):

It's broken in half and still turns on!

I remember G4TV's X-Play did a segment over the PS2, Xbox and Gamecube. Damn GameCube wouldn't die!!!!

funny, I dont see a single post in here bad mouthing the Vita... perhaps you can quote them for me.

If you didn't notice, I'm talking to the potential morons that would suddenly start bashing the Vita just like the morons that bashed the 3DS when it first came out. I expect to see them jump the VIta in a few weeks or less.

lol i never trust Sony with their hardware as everything i bought from them break. its like a timer in it that goes off when the warranty is out so your forced to buy a new one :P

i mean thats why they sold so many PSes and PS2os ;)

i have two 360s because of RRoD and the second one is starting to show some signs. i still have my NES, N64, GC all working perfectly! as well as the handhelds . the only problem i had was with Wii when i left the wiiconnect24 on and the image got a bit bad.

    R.I.P Mr Iwata :'(

Pre-emptive strike, for massive damage. LOL.

Awesome video. Not sure why some ppl are so defensive, its not like this thread was made to bash the PSV.
