I've played some shit in the past few decades. Some shit that many would consider unplayable and broken.
-Wrestlemania on the Nes. I was a big fan of video games and a big fan of the WWF/WWE. I saved for weeks to buy that game. It didn't even have any holds. It was just a punch (or a kick), a running attack, and a top rope attack (for maybe half of the six characters characters). I got this game home, played a couple of matches, and cried. Acclaim, how could you live with yourselves, doing something like that to a ten year old kid?
There's been other crap over the years--Mercenary Force for the Gameboy, Deadly Towers for the Nes, Friday the 13th for the Nes, Death by Degrees for the PS2, Charlie's Angels for the Gamecube, Spec Ops Stealth Patrol for the PS1, and Onechanbara for the 360. I even have TMNT for the 360!! These games were horrid. They made me question whether I actually should be playing video games.
With so much bullshit out there, why are people listing great games?
