I've updated the thread to make it more of an 'official' game thread. However, it IS a work in process, and will be updated in much greater detail at the weekend.
Bare with me please guys!

I wouldn't mind an upgrade system that focused on defense. I spent most of my time in Monster Hunter focused on building impenetrable armor, after all... |
Also, being able to upgrade your sword at any point ruins the idea of the game. It would be like getting all of the shouts in Skyrim by buying the books like the spells...it defeats the point and wouldn't fit with the story. The whole GAME revolves around building the Master Sword. You can't upgrade it otherwise. It wouldn't work.

What's your ranking for the past 3D zelda games? (OoT, MM, WW and TP)
What's your favorite one and what do you like most of the series? Maybe wuth the answers we can deduct if you would like it or better lower your expectations.

OoT > WW > TP (haven't played Majora's)
What I like about Zelda is well, the sense of exploration/adventure in a huge world, after all they're adventures games. For me OoT was the better balanced in terms of story, difficulty, exploration. While in Wind Waker I also enjoyed the exploration, it was very very easy and sometimes sailing was a pain in the ass. Twilight is a good game, it has some awesome moments here and there, but there are somethings that I really didn't like. The world while huge feels empty, the music is kinda average, I really didn't like the art design with some wierd characters (OoT and WW the characters were more charming imo) and it's still a very easy game, I seriously beleive WW and TP were made so the player will NEVER die... unless he's seriously bad at playing videogames.
I don't care too much about the story, something of the quality of OoT would be fine to me. I just want to have the feeling of a great adventure but improving all the things I didn't like about TP.

Well, then there's a 90% of probability you'll like Skyward Sword, Master.

I think people need to understand what a fetch quest IS. Collecting key pieces, finding Kiwiki's etc. aren't fetch quests. They're guided exploration. The only 'true' fetch quests are the water from the temple and the tadtones (maybe the Thunderhead stuff), but it's still FUN. That's the most important thing. The game isn't perfect, but it's damn close...
You're too harsh Rol. Nintendo just can't win.

Hey, don't be mad. In 5 years SS will get the praise it deserves, like any other 3D Zelda.

So true. That Zelda cycle is crazy
Also, still loving the game!

I wouldn't worry, Ausgamers doesn't count towards Metacritic/Gamerankings...also, there's plenty of other great reviews, like this one:
http://www.cubed3.com/review/1050
Lots of 10's.
EDIT
Seems like it's already added on Gamerankings, but I don't see it happeneing for MEtacritic. Their last review to go up there was months ago, and they're a bit hit-and-miss as well...it raises a good point how there's nearly double the number of reviews on Metacritic than Gamerankings though...
