Yep.  Gears is certainly giving the Xbox 360 the boost it needs.  And kowen because of this, I really don't see this issue with the Xbox 360 being seen as a "shooter box" which you seem to have such "sighing" disapproval of.

360 HW boost still nice although the Gears SW is less than I figured. I thought it would be 550K to 600K - still, a good second week nonetheless.

PS3 okay I think for time of year and status as second choice in the region. Good opening for ICO/SOTC too. Seeing LBP2 above Deus Ex makes me realize LBP2 needs a Deus Ex level... must explore this.

Wii pretty low and no titles in the top 10 (although a fair number below that).

Everything else as expected. Depending on Japan/EMEAA it could be another close PS3/360 week.



Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Was expecting a bit more for GeoW3's 2nd week.But not by much.Amazing 360 HW though.
Laughable PS3 numbers.

X360 with another very good week. I think it has a chance of being the top console this week again, but we shall see when all the regions are released. More than likely it will be close with PS3 Im thinking but maybe just behind it.

3DS still holding strong and doing well.

PS3 doing mediocre

Wii not doing so well.

Software:
Gears 3 with a very strong 2nd week showing.

FIFA 12 did well. It looks like FIFA is gaining popularity in the US

Dead Island with another decent week

Resistance 3 poor week in sales as has been since release.

Sports Champions got a small boost. Im guessing more people bought the Move since Child of Eden released this week.

A user can make a comment and not intend for it to be flamebait especially when it was clarified.  Part of my original comment was:

"I'm not saying it's a bad thing. I'm just saying it's becoming more and more evident the target audience of the console."

It's my opinion backed by fact.  I once saw the original PlayStation as the "rpg box," and I'm an RPG fan  Nothing wrong with that.  Flamebait is what you make it to be.  It's not my problem you have issues while letting others get away with flamebaiting the PS3.
