I've been doing this for a while now, about time Nintendo caught up.

Well, the act isn't illegal but the data itself is, right?

I think it will be illegal to sell it, as for it being illegal when it's free I don't know, as far as the adapter goes that does cost money but of course they do have a discailmer that what the end user does with it is not their responsibility.

hmm sounds like a good investment if all I have to do is buy a DS, adapter and micro SD card.

Homebrew isn't illegal.  Granted it's easier to do piracy than with the PSP, but DS games are priced more reasonably than PSP games, so less people use it for illegal activity.

As to the article....  I suspect it's like the hot spots at DS stores...  they will probably be stored on the wii (or tunneled through it from the internet).  You will only be able to download one game at a time.  After you turn off your DS you have to download it again...  Nothing needed for the DS, it already supports downloading games like that.

DS has announced that they are doing a 1st party version of those carts, so ...don't worry about it.

I'm afraid you're mistaking the DS for the PSP.

^^No, he is 100% right. All you need is a slot 1 device like R4/M3 etc. and a micro SD card. You now got free games for your DS.

Hehe, Nintendo is copying the Chinese pirates. Nice.

no he's not mistaken at all, infact it's very easy to get home brew working on DS, the PSP in that regard is much harder.

I for one already own the Micro SD card which pluggs into the cartridge adapter which I put into my DS just like I would any other DS game. I like playing the home brew games, just recently played this little physics game on the DS, pretty sweet, I've also got this diagnostic tool that allows me to fix a stuck pixel, it's not garenteed to work but it might just get the pixel unstuck which I guess is better than nothing.
