Since it was practically flat in Q2, I seriously doubt it stands much of a chance over Q3 and Q4. A price cut wouldn't even compare to the Slim/Reach/Kinect effect last year, especially since Kinect is all but dead now.
A fifth year peak was already quite insane, though. If they can beat that, then hats off to MS, really.

Highly unlikely. The Reach and Kinect launches were simply too huge for the 360 to conceivably beat this year. Even if a price cut doubled average weekly sales it would only put 360 marginally ahead of its pre-Kinect launch baseline from last year.

I think it has a chance to just barely beat last years sales if it doesn't have a price cut...if it does have a price cut then it will beat it with ease.

I don't know why you'd make that kind of distinction. VGC has been spot on with 360's shipments this year so far and wildly overshot it in the quarter before that so it's very unlikely that VGC will undertrack it henceforth. It's actually more likely that VGC will overtrack it given the tracking in Q3/4 last year, though that's doubtful.

I voted it would fall just short although I will add a small caveat. If the price cut is $75-$100 than I'd say it has a chance to beat last year by a slight margin. It would need to have a very significant lead on last year in the September-October period to pull it off though.
