It has to be more that wii shouldn't be replaced and 3ds isn't putting anything new out yet and nor did they announce any. 

The cool thing about the wii was that we could do all sorts of new stuff and actually be in the game.  What can wii u do? Well it could play ds like games and we could play  game without a tv. yeah and the 3ds is just a ds with 3d. At least ds could changed the way we play. The 3ds just adds a visual feature. 

Also their games they announced are all n64 and gamecube like games(expect sequels to ds games)  which aren't the best games in the world


i like those types of games more than i like the WII SPorts/Fit whatever, i understand there popular but meh for me, so im glad for the direction 3ds and Wii U is taking, plus the Wii U still supports the Wiimote, so i dont see the problem, people will still see the types of games they want.

IMHO i think some people are pissed that NINTy might not be number 1 and thats all they care about, i wonder if they are video game fans or just Nintendo fans

I am a video game fan it just happens Nintendo is my favorite over the years but i walked away once because of not caring much and came back. You do know video game fans are also able to be big Ninty fans right? I mean people my age did grow up with it and i enjoyed a big part of this gen mostly because of them. Perhaps some people should learn not eveyone cares what place in sells a company is its whether you are excited and care or not. I play anything from the best selling games like Wii Sports Resort too the hardly bought played A Boy and His Blob. Sells mean nothing for my own enjoyment.

Haha, that is exactly my point. Nintendo has released some info on their new console, but not much, so we call it domed. MS and Sony have released no info, so we assume they will be awesome.

No, your point still sucks. We've got enough infor on WiiU to pass some judgement. I don't think anyone is saying PS4 and 720 will be amazing, they could both totally end up total crap.

I wasnt talking about anyone in particular, least of all you, sorry if i gave that impression, and also thats why i used the word "some". You enjoy Wii Sports and what have you, thats great. Nothing wrong with that

Nintendo needs some new first party IPs. Miyamoto said he was developing a new character. Well all companys are just making sequels. At least Nintendo is trying to be innovative with their franchises.

I have to agree with this really. I mean I was told to look up Wii remote and thats really all it took for me to start pondering the Wii. Plus around the time i did that i was starting to eye the DS. Hype is built before a product gets much info on it even if it just some pondering. Its fun to do. i felt that a little the first we heard about 3DS but as a little time went on i just didnt care. Sure theres a few games that are suppose to come out at some point, but i just feel meh about it all. For all we know a year from now 3DS will start to break DS records same with WII U but that doesnt mean a thing to me. I dont buy games and systems based on what others like. Anyways, back to the point we do have enough info to pass some judgement on the system and from bit of the interviews ive read.

I'll just keep buying games that interest me, regardless of platform.

Heck, just bought Lego Harry Potter Years 1-4 this past week... for no other reason other than it looking like a fun time. It was rather nice to stroll down the game isle and pick up a game just because (it's a simple game, but very charming. I quite like it.)

It's not just this thread, but more and more I wish that we were fellow celebrators of this wonderful hobby rather than competitors. I guess it goes with the whole sales aspect... but still...

No. you do not have enough information to pass judgement that the WiiU does not have enough games to interest you.

 

If I tell you that there is definitely a panda at the zoo, and you dislike pands, you do not have enough information to conclude that you won't like the zoo. There may also be elephants, tigers and lemurs. And you of course love all of these things.

 

If I tell you that I have at least 2 $10 notes in my wallet, you do not have enough information to conclude I don't have enough money to buy a car.

now, my point, which you stubbornly seem to be ignoring, is that the WiiU is still a long way from launch - just as the PS4 and 720 are. The fact that they even announced any games this far from launch is impressive for Nintendo.
