good news i gotta buy dead space 2 though.
I enjoyed both Dead Spaces, so ill be picking this up too. However, i hope they actually adopt a story/plot thats actually important to the series. DS1 was good for the first entry. But in DS2, about the first 11 chapters (has 15) were literally "Issac go to this room; Issac you need this located here; Issac meet me here; now meet me here" Finally we get to a point where they discuss the Marker more. DS3 needs a much stronger story relevant to the "DS Universe" much like most RE games and it's respective "universe".
I personally didn't enjoy the spinoffs, Extraction and Ignition. Haven't tried the one in the App Store; so I hope its "3" instead of spinoff.

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)
Good, but was expected as EA already announced they would do at least two more games after the original came out.
Dead Space was a breath of fresh air for me after I was dissapointed with RE5 and Silent Hill:Homecoming...
So as long as they dont go for more action oriented gameplay like the ones I mentioned....a sequal is a welcome
I'm in. I really enjoy the third person viewpoint and the upgrade system. I'm a sucker for a sci-fi setting especially deep space. Very few series manage that sustained atmosphere of suspense. They tried to give it more scope and depth by setting DS2 on a larger colony with more lives at stake but it really didn't work. Maybe if the cultists were trying to import the marker to earth? It needs something but still it's a solid IP. Nailing the freaks to a wall or blowing them into space was fun. Sales should be better imo. Quite a bit higher on PS3 for DS1. Seems odd for the unshooterbox.

DS1 was a very good game. DS2 improved on some things while still having a few problems. but it was a good game none the less. however i dont think the sales are that strong tbh, and the multiplayer hasnt been as popular as EA wouldve hoped. so rather than have a sequel i think they need to do something different then come back to it. and use what they've learned from whatever Visceral Games do next to improve the DS formula.
if anyones finished DS2 the ending leaves a lot of questions for the next game. so no doubt there will be DS3. and probabily more. imo DS has surpassed RE on so many levels since RE5 which i felt was an absolute peice of trash.

Agree with Machina, Im about halfway through DS2 and have no motivation to continue. Game was interesting at first but I dont understand the plot and the motivations of the opposing factions (not the necromorphs). They seems to have the same goal and purpose but fight each other and be scare of the thing theyre trying to achieve. |
Ohhh then you have NO clue what's truly going on behind the scenes which is good. If you pick up the game again I suggest you continue as you watch Isaac's mind deteriorate further, and start seeing what is truly going on . The ending was excellent and the final boss fight was really total insanity. Not to mention the multiplayer is top notch. Btw, did you get to the nursery school yet? That kinda freaked me out a bit.
Make games, not war (that goes for ridiculous fanboys)
I may be the next Maelstorm or not, you be the judge http://videogamesgrow.blogspot.com/ hopefully I can be more of an asset than a fanboy to VGC hehe.
Day Freaking 1. Has to be one of the greatest of new IP's of this generation so far.
