Connections problems are probably due to so many people playing with free PSN(plus). The servers most likely were only prepared for people that actually paid for PSN(plus) or inFamous 2. I know I wouldn't be playing if it wasn't for the welcome back program.

Currently at 72 %. I'll probably wait until tomorrow because I've heard a few cases of YLOD on the Naughty Dog Forums.

My PS3 froze a couple of times. Since it is the fat 160GB i am going to take it a bit easy and than try later tomorrow or day after.

The first game was running good but in one moment it froze, I had to restart my ps3... then tried to play again and it was running so damn slow!!
I thought it was my internet connection but some friends of my Kz3 clan were playing it too and they had the same problems.
I think it's overcrowded... After having no luck in the beta, we (my clan) tried to look for some players on kz3 and we found no more than 5 players!!!!!

I hope it will be running better later, ND is already taking notes on those issues in their twitter.

It's definitely slower than UC2. I haven't decided if that's good or bad yet. I do know one thing though... Co op is HARD AS FUCK! I couldn't get past round 3!

I'll post more news later...

I'm absolutely in love with the beta!!!

I did experience ALOT of leg/glitch/freezing when playing, but it has become quite smooth as of late, played about 7-9 team deathmatches with no problem whatsoever

love the kickbacks, sprinting, smooth melee attacks, the maps are cool love both current maps.

Before i start, i would like to say that i have played U2 multiplayer extensively (13 days, rank X(60))

The game feels alot slower than U2. Character feels clunky (slow in turning and such movements like jumping compared to U2). There is a "sprint" mechanism now, but for the most part it works well.

This is definitely alot more "rank" centric because at first your gun is terrible (AK). Judging by the customizations, your gun gets alot better in the later ranks. Character customizations are a plus too. (Plenty more customization options)

Gameplay feels new and old at the same time. It feels like Uncharted but the shooting is different. The cross-hair is not like the previous games; it is replaced by a circle with a dot in the middle. And you must absolutely shoot where the dot is. What i mean is, the dot in the middle of the cross-hair is where your bullets will fly.(AK doesn't spread anymore)

Maps are cinematic and interactible. It definitely makes the gameplay more fun, but in my opinion, this can get quite annoying after hours of playing(scenes). However, you can do few things in maps, like break some objects or even bring down a shutter to keep enemies away.

Finally, graphics have definitely improved. Lightining and textures are above U2's.

Overall I'm disappointed. Character movements and the shooting mechanics make me prefer U2's multiplayer. Of coarse i understand this is a Beta and not all is final. And you should be warned that this Beta is buggy. Lag in-game, and freezes the whole console at times.

e=mc^2

Gaming on: PS4 Pro, Switch, SNES Mini, Wii U, PC (i5-7400, GTX 1060)

well im in Australia and i have to say this is terrible, not the gameplay and the game itself ofcourse but the Beta. I know that it is only a beta and what not and Uncharted is my favourite franchise this gen but this is appalling i cant get in a game its laggy to hell and it consistently freezes my ps3 ... Not happy was really keen on playing today !

.

i love it, the only downside is the framerate.

Well, I'm going to make this short for now.  But here's some tidbits already:

For those who fell in love with the game during its inital months, this game has returned to that state.

Translation:  1.04 Damage has returned! (For those who don't know what this is, follow the link:

http://www.saint-ism.com/2010/02/uncharted-2-title-update-1-05-weapon-damage-changelist/

Outside of the MANY techinical issues which I am not a great authority to effectively comment on,  The game of UC3 has some issues to it:

-Slow/sluggish player movement.  This is somewhat of a problematic change.  The fluidity of UC2 was not broken, but , for whatever reason, whether to introduce sprinting or just to elimate "bunny-hopping", N.Dog has changed it. I would rather see a return to UC2 on this matter, but I do hate bunny hopping as well...

Okay, I will update this thread later after some more hands on time with the Beta!  My PSN ID is FenirisBlack and I do have a mic, and I will be more than happy to play a few with anyone here on VG chartz.

THIS GAME IS AMZAING.

Before I tell you my impressions, let me give you my opinion of UC2. I played U2's multiplayer. I thought it was okay. I really loved co-op though. I had some really fun moments with it. I never could play competitively though, I couldn't really get into it. I just didn't like it thatmuch. I blame the random spawning system coupled with overpowered boosters.

Let start off by sayingI haven't had ANY technical problems at all. (I must be lucky).

I LOVE the new character movements. IT's awesome. Normal movement is way slower than UC2 and I love it. You press L3 to sprint. It just seems to work better IMO. It'll take a few matches to get used too, but after a few matches, you'll be moving as swiftly and smooth as you did in Uncharted 2.

The winners of shooters are typically the smarter players, instead of the faster players.

There are a more weaopons this time around. I won't go into detail, but there are about four new weopons I've seen so far. My favorite weopon is by far the sniper Rifle. It works just like in U2 except when you press L1, it goes right into scope mode. The AK is less accurate, but it's cool. The Ak is used more as a short to mid range weapon this time. ND added in another Assault Rifle to be effiecient at mid to long range. It's a little overpowered with it's high rate of fire, but it's fine. I haven't played with the shotgun much. And pistols are fine just like in UC2. Don't listen to the noobs complaining that their too weak.

Like I said, accuracy has decreased in most of the guns. When shooting, the entire reticle breaks apart leaving only one small dot in the middle of the screen. Some people hate it, but I love it. It forces you to really adjust your aiming and shoot in short bursts. Only the skilled will win.

The generall 'feel' of shooting is greatly improved IMO. I'm loving the low accuracy in the weapons. It prevents you from using a gun like the AK and shooting someone on the other side of the map.

I got to play two maps: The Cheteau ( or SLT) and the airfield. I only played The Cheteau in co op. The map is very smartly designed, much better than the maps in UC2 IMO. I Played The Airfield and that was awesome too. I got to play competitively on this map. I liked way the map was mapped out. There are these long open strips where I can pick off noobs with my sniper. There are also sections where shorter-ranged guns are more useful. Needless to say, I stayed out of those areas.

I will say this though. Co-Op is hard as shit. The enemies are fucking ruthless EVEN ON THE FIRST LEVEL. Also in co-op, the e is one mode, with three different modes scattered through the different levels. There is gold rush, seige, and survival. Co-op rotates through these modes every round. I only managed to get to level 8 before the time ran out (yeah there's a time limit).

Kickbacks actually aren't as overpowered as I thought . These aren't like killstreaks in COD that's for sure. I won't get into specifics about them, but I think they're pretty neat.

My only con is the melee in co op. You have to be nearly touching the enemy in order perform a melee attack. It seems like a technical issue and should be fixed by the final product.

Graphics are actually pretty good for a 1.6 Gb multiplayer Beta 4 months before release.

So yeah, big improvement over UC2 IMO. ND were serious when they said UC3 would be the go-to game for the ps3. I see myself playing the A LOT This holiday, possibly rivaling Gears 3 and Battlefield 3 (I never thought I would say that). This game just moved up a few slots on my most wanted list.

I don't think I can ever play Uncharted 2 again haha
