Let me take some direct quotes "Come 2015 it'll be outdated compared to actual next gen consoles coming out." When generations are defined by time and not power...  "Nothing on Wii excep SS, so much for all those Wii games coming up this holiday!!" when no Wii games (nor DS) were announced they reserved it all for the new consoles though not on stage they announced titles like Mario Party 9, Just Dance 3, Mystery Case Files (something my mom loves), and new content for already announced Wii titles for this year.  Overall I don't know why you're bent nor know why you must attack users like Cone (who is a normal user/fan) cause they thought what was shown off impressed them, but it seems rather unprofessional to me *walks away from thread*  call me when the stink hits the fan  

Those were PS360 ports, except for Tekken. Money says that except for Tekken they were all running on either PS3, 360, or PC hardware too, which would explain why Tekken looked much worse than the others shown

It's pretty obvious the OP has no love for Nintendo, so that's -1 sale for the Wii u from "core" gamers when it comes out. Luckily, though those are the views of only 1 person. Not every core gamer.

Going by the tech demo i saw involving the bird flying i would have to say there is nothing on PS360 graphically that comes close to it. So i would say that is one falsehood to start with....

That sounds like a job for digital foundry, really. I would like to know whether or not the effects showed there were possible on PS360 or not (if those tree details were rendered real-time, i would say Wii U handily wins. Even in Heavy Rain, the trees looked bad close up)

I got really excited when Iwata discussed making a console for all types of gamers, especially core gamers.

But it seems that the WiiU for the core gamer audience may just be a PS3/X360 that plays Nintendo games. A lot of Nintendo fans will buy it... but those with PS3s and X360s may not.

Nintendo needs developers to come up with a way to enhance gameplay for core gamers using the screen. For example, would being able to see the list of players and stats on the screen while playing a multiplayer FPS be enough?

If SONY and Microsoft can release enough core titles between the release of the WiiU and their next consoles then WiiU is going to have a hard time.

Just seen in another thread that it's playable on the show floor. So it would seem Wii u wins.

The new IGN preview stated that with the tablet they actually had TWO tech demos the second of which much more impressive than the one with the bird, basically in both demos you could use the tablet as your own viewing window to the world so you could look around the bird at different angles, and the second demo you could actually look behind you like a rear view mirror, see the ground, the sky, look at peoples faces, etc. (now really leaving this thread be just wanted to point out those demos were also interactive and rendering all angles while also streaming to the controller, sending out two different images while being that detailed)

Seriously I never even thought of that one, that would save me, from pressing whatever I need to press....and sometimes I die. 

WiiU is next gen, I didn't mean for it to sound that way, but it doesn't feel like a next gen console to me, it looks like a minor upgrade, like somewhere in the middle, like Dreamcast. So my point stands, when 720/PS4 come out, there will be a huge gap. If anyone thinks it'll be a small jump from a console releasing in 2005 .. well.

Wow, first person I've seen defend the Wii line up this year!! Just Dance 3 is multi (just in case you didn't know) regardless, conegamer was claiming wii would be first this holiday and had a ton of content coming, just like last year at E3. It simply didn't, even with those games you mentioned. I get why there isn't any content though, hence why I said to him Wii won't be getting any decent support from here on out.

I think locking a thread you don't like that's perfectly ok is more unprofessional than me debating with a user
