Copypasta from another thread.

I'm so confused . . . all the features and games he announced for Wii U are available on current generation PS360. As an owner of all 3 current consoles already, what reason do I have to buy this new console? >_>

E3's conferences were the worst I've ever seen for everyone except Nintendo. Nothing is worse then that 2008 conference. It was damn close.

Really? I kinda felt like Sony won.  I mean, aside from the obvious unveiling of a console everyone knew was coming, did Nintendo wow you?  I mean, the tablet controller is....odd, but Sony really got me excited about the Vita and ended on a great note with the price.

Btw, any word on Skyward sword release date?

I guess I don't really get excited to have a handheld thats not unique. The vita is a unique device, but the games looked like "mini" ps3 games.

I will need to read up more but based on what I got from the vgc live blog I am quite disappointed.

I don't think the graphics they showed were optimized for the Wii U, that...or developers are simply porting the experiences over. After all, by time the system releases, most if not all of the multi-platform games shown would have been released. I'm terribly disappointed with the name, however i understand it, and it shows the connection with the Wii (Wiimote controller still being used), and it'll resonate with the casuals who will associate this new system more as an "upgrade" than a next gen successor to the Wii.

The conference was pretty underwhelming. I see some potential for WiiU, but in quite a few of the things they showed, it felt more like a Vita with a console attached...

The saddest part, the HD zelda we saw, was probably just the tech demo of fighting a realistic gohma/spider thing.

While I loved windwaker in the end, I was not thrilled to find out the HD cool trailer was BS.

No, they almost did -- the third party stuff at the end saved them though.

Personally i was more shocked that DS has been completely forgotten, the only game mentioned for Wii was Skyward Sword. Nintendo didn't even have third party multi platform games to announce. 3DS was alright, though Kid Icarus looked better last year, Mario Kart looks like Mario Kart DS with new tracks. Seriously that game is either over a year away or Nintendo didn't try. Luigi's Mansion 2 looked good. Super Mario was the best game shown for 3DS though and was impressive.

Super Smash Bro's was a nice announcement, until we were told development will start at the end of the year... (here is a hint Nintendo - don't announce games before development even begins), so it'll probably be a 2013 game.

Biggest concern when you look at multiplat is that most of those will actually release one year later on the Wii U than on the HD consoles . They mostly showed third party games releasing holydays 2011 or start of 2012 on the HD consoles and the Wii U won't release before Holydays 2012....

PS3-Xbox360 gap : 1.5 millions and going up in PS3 favor !

PS3-Wii gap : 20 millions and going down !

I feel ya there man. Hopefully we see this console evolve and get to see some awesome first party stuff.  I think the wii started the trend as reggie said of bridging the gap, as well as Iwata basically addressing fanboys.

It's the right idea, an end to fanboyism will actually only benefit everyone. I just hope they pull it off.

They almost always do for me though.

I also expected more than SMBMii... Really?
