Well, the new F1 game, Uncharted games, the new Fifa game, Little Big Planet games, and the old classics like Final Fantasy IX and Spyro 3 are high up my list for wanted games.

yep and trust me there are many many more games that you will discover as you go..and I won't even get into PSN..that's a whole different list of gaming goodness

try not so popular games as well, like Valkyria Chronicles or vanquish :)

VC is a strategy RPG, it's quite good. Vanquish is in no way an RPG, it's a bit harder to classify. Basically it's an action game with shooting, and there is a big focus on replayability through gameplay, where you're encouraged to improve your scores and such. It's also quite good (I hear).

Valkyria Chronicles is a strategy RPG..one of the BEST games of the gen imho. it's a lot fun, addicting and a BEAUTIFUL game.

Vanquish is an Action game, check out some gameplay vids of it..it's mad fun...it's the Max Payne of this gen for me

well if people are still buying ps2, i think its fine to buy a ps3.  besides, its the newest of the current 3 consoles.

No, the ultimate PS3 game hasn't arrived yet.

The PS3 consoles were selling for $269.99 at Costco last week.  I would either wait for a good deal or wait for a price cut later this year (assuming there will be one).  I personally would wait for a discounted Move bundle-- that would be a lot of fun with games like Killzone 3, Socom 4, LBP2, Sports Champions, and Tiger Woods '11. 

PS3 is a great console.  I like it much better than my 360 because of the blue-ray player, the free online, and all the cool games coming out in 2011. I am actually going to cancel my Xbox Live subscription when it ends this year.  360 is pretty much the same as the PS3 except for paid Xbox Live, Halo, Gears of War, Forza, Fable, and Kinect. 

The PS4 may come out in 2012 or 2013, but the PS3 will still be a strong console for several years after the PS4 release.  My PS2 was my only gaming machine until late 2009-- almost 3 years after the PS3 release.  Since you are a late adopter anyway, you probably won't buy the PS4 right when it is released.  So why are concerned about this?

Two last words for you:  Uncharted 3!

No.

I've had my PS3 for less than a year and I just bought Heavy Rain, Assassin's Creed 2, Dante's Inferno and Infamous the other day. Each game cost only around $20. There's so many good games you can get for dirt cheap.

Plus the PS4 ain't coming until late 2014 anyway. Xbox 3 possibly in late 2013, but even that is over 2 and ½ years from now.
