Are there really sources? So far I just see websites claiming sources. Viper1 is actually part of a gaming news site that knows developers, and he's not buying this info.

I'd imagine that while some of these rumors are completely accurate based on where Nintendo is at right now in developing this thing, feature sets will be added and removed constantly in the final development stages over the next 18 months or so, and so none of this will be completely accurate at the end of the day, when the Zii / Wii 2 / Super Wii launches.

Can't say I'm buying into this... It's too... I don't know... fishy, to me...

as powerful as the 360? so im expecting again a 200-300 price range. put the controller could be very expensive. unless it doenst use the tech to its best ability.

Anyone knows how this specs compare to those of the 360/PS3? How much of a difference are we talking about? On par with PS3? Above?

Anyway, I'm not sure this news is true, could be just a website taking advantage of the Wii2 rumour for hits.

If the GPU is R700, that;s about 4-5 times what's in the xbox 360, PS3's GPU is weaker than the xbox 360 also. As far as the CPU gos, the core count really hasn't changed much, most high end processors are still quad cores. A triple Core processor of today is significantly more powerful than a triple core from 2005. IF the 512 MB of RAM is the GPU RAM, then that makes perfect sense. (R700 were 512 MB GPUs for the most part).

I can't shake the feeling that the media is fucking with us. Never has so much leaked about a Nintendo-console

This, Unless Nintendo actually annonces something themselves I will continues to treat this as pointless speculation.
