Wow, that does seem very pathetic for 3DS for its software to have dropped off so quickly. At least Nintendogs should have stayed up, you'd think...

A game I'm developing with some friends:

It is largely a technical exercise but feedback is appreciated.

Seems highly implausible actually.

“When we make some new announcement and if there is no positive initial reaction from the market, I try to think of it as a good sign because that can be interpreted as people reacting to something groundbreaking. ...if the employees were always minding themselves to do whatever the market is requiring at any moment, and if they were always focusing on something we can sell right now for the short term, it would be very limiting. We are trying to think outside the box.” - Satoru Iwata - This is why corporate multinationals will never truly understand, or risk doing, what Nintendo does.

You think the sequel to a 24 million seller, something that remained in the charts for years shouldn't be expected to stay in the charts longer than two weeks?

You misunderstood me. I was calling the sales numbers implausible, and specifically the complete and total lack of either Pilotwings or SSF4, two games which charted better than ND C anyway.

black ops (PS3) and fifa 2011 (PS3) sales are incredible in europe. They never seem to go down. Overall going to be a pretty terrible weak for software.

People are bored with getting the same games in slightly diffrent clothes released annualy or bi-anually. We need higher influx of new console owners who would buy games without relying on their backlog to wait for price drops.

Or a new generation of consoles.
