Forums - Gaming Discussion - Question for Wii owners

I'm home for the holidays and my family wants to try playing Wii. They aren't hardcore gamers so I was wondering which games were fun for a family, especially my parents? I was thinking maybe the first Trauma Center. We are all 18 years old or older. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Wii Sports, Wii play are clear choices

The first Trauma Center was for single player only, you should try Trauma Center new blood (it has multiplayer)

Perhaps your parents would enjoy party games like Mario & Sonic and Carnival Games

I suggest elebits you can play with multiple people ^^

Rayman Raving Rabbids is a lot of fun, as is Wario Ware. No need to worry about age - as long as you've got a relaxed sense of humour, they're lots of fun.

If they like baseball even a little bit, I'd get them MLB Power Pros. Very easy to pick up and play, but so deep that hours and hours are gone, by the time you turn off the Wii.

Super Mario Galaxy is also a good choice, as you can't go wrong with a "perfect game". Getting 60 stars in that game is supposed to be a lot of frustration free fun, I have heard that getting 121 stars is an exercise in hair pulling (I am currently at 40, but my 9 year old son has already beat it by getting 60).

WiiSports, FTW, baby!!!

WiiPlay is ok, and Carnival Games is a hoot, too. But hands down, WiiSports.

Wii Sports is a must and absolutely mandatory for the first game they play.. tennis is always the best crowd pleaser, but go with what they want

Cooking Mama is a nice family game

Wii Sports (tennis, bowling by far) should eat up a lot of time.

Other good choices are Wario Ware, Rayman Raving Rabids, Even Mario Party 8 is good for new comers to the gaming arena (I liked it as well, even having played the 7 before it)

All these games will be fun for people to watch as well when its not their turn to play, so those should be good.
