Forums - Gaming Discussion - Activison will be worried about EA/BF

Well all points suggest that Activison is going to bring in its pay to play system this year with MW3. they have studios working on the campaign, multiplayer, dlc there would be also in the works of setting up this subscription based system MMO style.

But with EA coming out first with there BF3 title and will continue to taut Activison because they are planning to release in the same month as the juggernaut.

But its kinder clear that if activison goes ahead an releases MW3 with there Pay to play system on the same period as BF3 gamers are going to not pay 60 dollars + the months subscritpion over an game that has none.

Because i believe that the douchking that is Kotick will have the subscription set up that you still have to pay for the map packs anyways.

I have an big feeling that if EA dont f up call of duty could suffer an big blow this hoilday season, Or wont get released at all, push backed to next year so it doesn't get crushed by other titles.

Well Battlefield 3 is looking quite tempting, but it is still different to CoD, while it might damage CoD to some degree, the next will still sell over 15m copies at the very least

BF is not nearly as beginners friendly as CoD.

So all in all very doubtful theory.

There's no way Activision would push this year's COD into 2012 because there's no way it could ever get crushed.

That said, I will be hoping against hope that BF can steal some of the attention. It looks phenomenal and EA are evidently working their socks off.

in the hands of Bobby Kotick, there is differently an way.

But yes while COD wont Bomb completly if launched side by side against BF3, it wont sell anywhere near the amount of black ops which will prove an big lost because Activison are surely funding for it to be.

I think i will be picking up BF3 before CoD.  I'm getting tired of the CoD every year crap.
