Game elements that you don't want in the next generation

Unskippable cutscenes 27 30.34%

Quick Time Events 11 12.36%

Trop/Ach that consists in... 11 12.36%

Useless AI partner 19 21.35%

Super small text on screen 6 6.74%

Other 15 16.85%

Total:89

shooters with crappy cinematic campaigns that my mum can beat and is only 4 hours long.

What happened Game Industry, What we saw that Half Life 2 only 7 years ago sell 14 million units and have this awesome epic game that focused on gameplay and story. But what thats not good enough, 14 million units isn't good enough. Know Call of duty 4 sells 15 million and now everyone copies that instead because that crap is less money to make and less resources.

Some one has to make an half life kinder  shooter game.

Of Course That's Just My Opinion, I Could Be Wrong

Unskippable cutscenes are indeed incredibly annoying regardless of how incredible the game is. That needs to stop immediately.

I personally dont get the gripe about QTEs for some people but that's different perspectives for everyone

A lot of "long corridor games".

I had only three experiences with "Quick Time Events":

1) The Last Remnant

2) Resident Evil 4

3) Tomb Raider Legend

And I was extremely desapointed in all of then.

By the way someone know a single game where quick time events add something to the gameplay?

God of War, any of them.

"Betas" on consoles that aren't actually betas. May not grind many gears but it's certainly annoying.

There's a lot of things that companies do that would be preferred undone though really...unskippables, terrible AIs, short gameplay, filler gameplay (seriously, collecting 1,000,000 Mcguffins is not fun (Mcguffin being a blanket term for item you need))...

Oh, and terrible female characters. It sometimes feels like gaming is still in the '30s. I'm not even female and this annoys me. :P

If you cannot read the small text it is because you need an HD tv or glasses.

Unskippable cutscenes piss me off the most, though I really wouldn't fret over the disappearances of QTEs, tacked-on motion controls, the general lack of replayability in the bulk of today's games, etc, etc...

Get rid of linear games with lots of cut-scenes, scripted events and respawning enemies completely.

Regenerating health, environment highlights (are gamers REALLY that fucking stupid?), linear levels, QTEs, scripting, shitty AI, shitty UI design, ability to only cary 2-3 guns in a clearly fictional game, shitty armor/skill progression in RPGs, plsu anything else mentioned in this thread already.
