At one point I was a 360 fanboy during 2007-2008, then I stopped and realized how silly this whole console war crap is. I definitely appriate all consoles now and do plan on buy a ps3 later this year because of all the great exclusives coming out.

I know I have. Grown out of it that is.

I was a Nintendo Fanboy til I played FF7 on a friends PS1 back in 1998 or '99. I bought a PS1 soon after and and later a Dreamcast for Grandia 2. I gave away my N64 becasue all it did was collect dust. Then came the Gamecube, which I bought before I bought a PS2. Enjoyed it, then I bought a PS2 and it was perfectly clear to me that Nintendo lost me. The wii has confirmed it since then. Of course I still have hope for them.... maybe not the wii 2 becasue that will show them how no one will buy a second workout machine. But they might go back to their old priorities on their next next attempt.

I used to oppose microsoft on PC as i always prefered linux. This made me love it to hear that microsoft had fired some-one high up or bill gates's cat was ran over (that one is made up). But now ive come to respect microsoft for the xbox and some brilliant games eg Halo and crackdown. I still dont like how powerful and big the company is but ive always hated that no matter what company. So in answer to your question Yes you can grow out of bieng a "Fanboy"

I haven't grown out of it, I still believe that nintendo is the best company out there despite me not even playing the other 2 that much(expect for halo which is fun) I blame my friends for only making me buy nintendo systems

There are several members on this site who "grew up" imo.

I used to be a big Nintendo fanboy but then i started to play games on XBox 360 and loved the console and their games. Am i a Nintendo and Xbox fanboy? No. Do i dislike Sony? Yes.

Human nature is not to be closed minded. Its actually the opposite. Without the sense of exploration and knowledge seeking none of us would be standing here today. Everyone will always have a favorite. That favorite can change as was seen when Sony came into the picture, Nintendo was no longer most peoples favorite. Come this Gen it shifted back towards Nintendo.

As for me, I enjoy Nintendo games the most overall. However, I have also owned many Sega/Sony/Atari/etc products. I will not make up crap just to show Nintendo is better because..... Because honestly, at the end of the day they all have something to offer everyone and all have their weaknesses. What system game maker is better is up to the person each Gen and it changes for tons of people each time.
