Enjoy colorado, Ill make sure i plan one of my ski trips to try out your bud and slopes |
You will most likely have to buy it in Denver County to be 100% sure you can get it in that area just to be sure. The laws are set up where it benifits the citizens more than the tourists unfortunately in my opinion. Still pretty cool it finally happened in the United States.
Oh, and the sking/boarding is worth coming here more than the bud is.

I would probably plan it to buy it just after i land, and then find another one the next day before working my way up to one of the resorts. get past that 1/4 oz rule. I need alot, and im not sure how my prescription would do since its from another country haha
Ive heard the snow is great, Im lucky to live in BC so i get great bud, and the champagne powder is amazing once you get away from the wet coastal mountains that surround vancouver. since I smoke medically any ski trips i take i have to make sure I go somewhere pot friendly. keeps me north of the border pretty much.
this season has sucked locally :( utterly terrible.. Last year we had near record snowfalls, so many powder days. even got 2 1/2 feet on fresh stuff on one trip. This year my favorite local mountain cant even open yet..

The snow season seems about average here. Most places are certainly open. The thing is the snow here has been worse for at least a decade as the state is technically in long term drought. Plus, record higher than average temperature here and in the USA over the same time period has left less snow then before. The places here make tons of artificial snow to overcome the warmer weather.
Basically, the tourists always are saying the snow is great, but the locals are complaining how it is way more icy with less powder then before.
I looked it up and it seems that the you can easily buy pot in Breckenridge, Colorado which is probably in the top 3 of the most famous resorts here. They legalized marijuana there years before the state did so they probably have a lot of good bud. Telluride, Colorado also has a lot of pot shops and close resorts.
I think you could buy more than a 1/4th ounce per day. You would just have visit more than one shop. It would technically be illegal, but I doubt it is enforced. I know it is legal for tourists to buy of up to quarter every day they remain in Colorado.
British Columbia and Vancouver really look beautiful and I know they have long been famous for sensimellia. I quite honestly am not familiar with BC mountains, but I do know Alberta has great stuff. Either way, Colorado is probably different in the extremely high elevation and being far in the heartland. It is definanly worth a visit even from cool bud places like BC and mountanious places like the Canadian Rockies close to you.
