So people actually count the Atari and Coleco crap pre-1985, even though none (most) of us were even alive?

Okay, that makes so much sense. Let's count "generations" that tanked the videogame industry. In short, here's a comprehensive guide to the real game generations:

GEN 1 - NES, Master System

GEN 2 - SNES, Genesis, TurboGrafx-16

GEN 3 - N64, Saturn, PlayStation

GEN 4 - Dreamcast, PS2, GameCube, Xbox

GEN 5 - HD/Motion whatever systems that are indecernable from each other because they do the exact same things and all people do is bitch, whine, and moan about graphics.

GEN 6 - N6, PS4, Xbox 3
