How does supply constraints help the Wii? Once the holidays have past what will push people to buy the Wii if they couldn't get one during the season where they are willing to spend more money? I'm not saying that the Wii won't sell after the holidays, but because of the price constraints they lost units that would have been sold in a blink of an eye.

Hell if they can't provide systems during the holidays what makes you think they can produce enough units to outsell the PS2, let alone the entire Playstation family?

Nope far weaker indicates that on a weekly basis it has a lower avergae and has yet to break 100K, in a week, while GCN did that 3-4 times in its first year, you're making up percentages at to what I was saying, but that is not what I was talking about.




wrong again do the math, all it has to sell is on average 30 million a year for eight year to pass the entire playstation family, very doable, also in reference to my sig prediction wasn't the issue of the discussion, it was a tangent you went off on, in relation to whose predictions were realistic.



Not really since we have yet to see any evidence of the PS3 being adopted in japan to any great degree, on the other hand Wii is becoming a mass market hit, Wii fit will be a major staple of Wii ownership, so mine is a possibility, yours is not going to happen, PS3 has shown no signs of that level of interest in japan.

In fact, the demand is SO high, that if they were able to produce more than 6,643,504,405 consoles, they would undoubtedly sell them. To whom you ask? Well animals of course, the Wii is so easy to use that in no time dolphins and apes everywhere will be picking them up from their local Pizza Hut.
