too bad for Wii...

so, if this trend continues at this rate, it will take about 200 months/17 years for the Xbox360 to overtake the Wii in WW sales or even get close

basicaly, Wii has no games to push it atm, while Kinect and PS move are selling, and also big N focus is on the 3D right now

I'm not doubting you know the situation, but wouldn't it be abnormal if MS did have the same numbers as Ninty in marketing?  It seemed pretty obvious that they were going to put big money into  Kinect, on top of their normal advertising during quarter 4.  So maybe it is that Nintendo used a very abnormal amount themselves (3DS marketing?), or the MS number isn't completely accurate?  It doesn't seem right that this huge push they themselves built up resulted in a normal run of the mill marketing budget. 

Oh dear, the wii really is struggling atm. I can’t see Zelda helping it much, most people that are interested in it have probably already got a wii or gave up on it long ago.

I wonder if Nintendo have new hardware up their sleeve for e3? Imagine if Skyward Sword is released on 2 Nintendo consoles ala Twilight Princess.

 I havent buy a single game (Wii game) since December, I guess nintendo wants everybody to save enough to buy a 3ds and several games... I guess nintendo is going to have all their games for E3, Zelda, xenoblade, last story, the new kirby, maybe DQX, and something for holidays... New super mario world wii? That would be awesome...

I always wished a platformer with several nintendo characters, they did something similar in Smash Bros Brawl, I think that could be a good game for christmas, Ninte-aventures or something, mario, yoshi, luigi, bowser, Peach... All coop -multiplatform...  

At the rate things are going, the 360 is going to lead the way this february over PS3 and Wii. We'll have to wait and see how those KZ3 bundles sell though. Right now the XBox 360 looks stable between 175K - 200K a week WW. 

I am not surprised, and nor should anyone else be. It is a simple matter of third parties prematurely killing the Wii with virtually no support, combined with Nintendo focusing too much on niche core games all of last year.

Nintendo still has some potential cards up their sleeves; Zelda, NSMB Wii 2, Vitality Sensor, price cut, DQX (Japan) among them, and rest assured they will use them sooner or later. I think they are just focusing a lot on 3DS right now. And why shouldn't they? They've got enough of a lead against their competitors that being outsold by this little a margin is just a drop in the ocean.

Nov 27, 2010 to Dec 25, 2010 Wii sold approx. 2 208 100 units more than the 360. Week of Feb 12, 2011 360 sells 44 043 more units than Wii.  If the week of Feb 12, 2011 becomes a trend it will take the 360 approx. 50 weeks to make up the ground they lost to the Wii in the single month of 2010 holiday sales.

What games are pushing Kinect and Move then?

Move is not exactly selling. It looks like it could become as obsolete as the Sixaxis in the near future..

Kinect is selling, yes. Though it remains to be seen how its legs will be, considering its weak game library. I can already buy one used on amazon for $110. I have a feeling that by this time next year, I could find one in the bargain bin for $50.
