Forums - Gaming Discussion - Just Cause 2, Square Enix's best game of 2010

This game has problems but i love it. It is been a while since ive had this much fun with a sandbox game. Its definately more fun that FF13 IMHO.  The game world is huge, I mean it makes Liberty city look like some backwoods down south town. Deserts, multiple Big cities, snow capped mountains. little villages. night clubs suspended by zepplins, its all there.

Im just wondering why it didnt do better, It will most likely reach the million mark on each console by the time its had a full year on market(PS3 0.98  360 0.96)  The original was not that well received and it sucks you cant drive and shoot, and combat could be a bit better, but the fun I had easily trumped the flaws.  The amount of chaos you can cause is funny, its like one big B movie. The amount of vehicles you can drive is impressive and im shocked there was no lag considering the sheer scale of the game and NO pop in. Eidos really outdid themselves. Im still getting used to playing a clearly western game with Square Enix logo on it. but as ive said this is the best game that they produced in the last year.  I wish it got more support because i would love a #3. They could fix the problems maybe implement some kind of online it would be the perfect game.

Perhaps Red Dead Redemption filled consumer's sandbox quota.

Agreed, Just Cause 2 is a fantastic game! I've played it for more than 20 hours without even touching the story, it's that much fun to just goof around and cause chaos or just doing crazy stuff!

It was fun but i found it to get boring after a while. I agree though it probably was their best game last year

I loved the game aswell and one of the reasons is its graphics....  A bit like I had with Oblivion..

I just love to walk around in Just Cause 2...Or even better;..Go 4Km heigh with a airplane jump out of it and enjoy the way down (can take a really long time)...

Story sucks though...It is like an typical 80's B-movie;.

but their is enough to do;....I spend around 30-40 hours in it and I have not yet 50% completion..

Not even close to FFXIII

JC2 was out two months earlier though.  Not that I'm surprised that RDR crushed it in sales.

That sounds like great fun. I haven't had time to try Just Cause 2 at all yet.

SE best game of 2010 was ofcourse Chaos Rings... >_<"

Face the future.. Gamecenter ID: nikkom_nl (oh no he didn't!!)

I would say Arkham Asylum was SEs best game recently, havent played Just Cause 2, but it seems like another title that got washed away thanks to being multiplatform and many other important releases at around that time. but good to see it was liked by many.
