Those Killzone 3 numbers make no sense.

I keep reading reports of KZ3 preorders rising week after week yet here I see nothing happen.

Very upsetting for KZ3, but these preorder charts haven't been entirely accurate so anything can happen.

A while back didn't Sony lie about killzone 2 having over 1 million pre-orders in Europe or something?

Thats true the Gears 3 Beta is probably helping it alot, but it does seem for Epic that they may have a new big hit on the 360 for them, those are pretty good pre-orders for a completly new IP.

Also hopefully Kilzone 3 pre-orderes pick up cause the game looks great and certainly deserves more than what its getting.

Those were retail preorders, not customer preorders.

No idea what that has to do with what I said though because the preorder reports I am talking about aren't from SONY.

We are also, from my understanding, unaware of where exactly these NA preorders come from.

well i can tell you from the retailer I work for (Gamestop) which is the largest in the world pre-orders for Killzone 3 have been pretty weak.  Which is really unfortunate. 

For all I know they really could be low and a lot of it could be due to the bad worth of mouth with Killzone 2's controls.

Maybe this time around, with the new control scheme, word of mouth will increase sales in the long run.

To be honest though I just hope the series sticks around long enough for me to see the story finish.

why do you hate sony and the ps3?

havent you in the past claimed that sony has tried to massage their financials by counting ps3's shipped to their warehouse as shipped/sold.

what do you have against them?

I agree. Marvel vs. Capcom 3 on PS3 and Bulletstorm on 360 seem to match it.

On a separate note, Pokemon is raping, and I'm glad to see strong pre-orders for Dragon Age 2, Gears 3, and Mortal Kombat.

A little sad Test Drive Unlimited 2 isn't picking up, the first one was so fun,

I'm enjoying Dragon Age Origins on PS3, so I hope it DAII does well on all platforms. Of course I bought it (new) for almost 1/2 the new release price.

I wonder if KZ3 will open as well as KZ2: 350-ish thousand in Americas. Without a substantial increase in pre-orders for the next few weeks it might not get there.

Pokemon = impressive. Will it (albeit with a significant time gap between countries) have higher launch week sales worldwide than any other game on a single platform?
