"That many copies"? 1 million? I'm curious to see your prediction. |
UNDER 1 million. : )
400k tops. I cannot see this doing very well.

Well, we have some fresh news, people.
A PS Move Heroes bundle will be available in North America. Only for Toys "R" Us.
Now if only it wasn't NA exclusive, and if only it wasn't ToysRus exclusive.
*sigh*
You know... maybe it's just me, but it feels like Sony is really lacking in the "Main Character Department".
They should have a much stronger character base.
I'd like to say 1-2 Million... and that's because I like to go optimistic.
I hope I'm wrong but I don't see Jak/Ratchet and Clank and Sly Cooper as very succsessful characters... who have a significant overlap in popularity.
Unfortunately, I don't see this selling very well.
Mainly because of the moves relatively low install base and because the game is fairly unknown.
Prediction:
FW: 100k - 150k
F10W: 350k - 400k
Lifetime: 850k - 1m
The Move bundle should help it a little, though.
I haven't bought Move because I had no interest in the softwares so far but if this game is great, I may plunge.

Well that being true and all, I don't think many families would let their kids play the party game featuring Kratos and Sweet Tooth... |
I think you over/underestimate many families.
I bet tons of kids have played GOW3, let alone playing a cartoony version of him in a game. No clue who Sweet Tooth is... Twisted Metal clown?
I just find it weird that they have nearly no console defining characters. I mean, Nintendo had a boatload from when they were on top... and even Microsoft has Masterchief...
I mean, Kratos I guess is the closest thing they have?

Yeah. To be honest, this is a good way to spread some of the names around to a new generation of gamers. I think if Sony actually promote this game the right way, it could be a huge success.....But.....I doubt it will get the right level of advertisement to get to that level. |
That is true... I mean, that's the other odd thing... I mean I haven't been paying as much attention to console gaming lately.... so I may of just missed it but....
Have there even been Jak and Sly Cooper games released this generation? I mean, usually with Crossovers you want to have products people can buy and to captialize.
Are they at least on PSN?
I mean for example the Super Robot Wars games are huge in Japan because whenever they include new series it usually increases the buy rate for the DVD's of that anime.
