Play Super Paper Mario before The Thousand-Year Door. Unless you want severe disappointment and anger.

Other then that, very good list.

Hold up...why play the 2nd one first?

Super Paper Mario is a pretty good, solid 8.5/10 game stand alone.

If you play The Thousand-Year Door and compare the two, you will see SPM as an abomination.

Interesting...is it necessary to buy Super Mario RPG and Paper Mario on VC before playing those two?

The order:

Super Paper Mario

Super Mario RPG

Paper Mario

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door

Really, the last 3 can be played in any order, but do SPM first so you can enjoy it as it is.

Ok, just out of curiousity, how much space do these games take on the console.  It would be best if I didn't have to delete prior games as I get newer ones.

no more than 40 mb per game, and even if you run out of system memory you can always plug in an SD card.

but remember, you won't be able to transfer them to your own Wii once you move out.

Until you've played it, every game is a system seller!

mini-games on consoles, cinematic games on handhelds, what's next? GameBoy IMAX?

Looking at your profile you seen to like JRPGs.  In that case I would advise:

Gamecube:

Tales of Symphonia

Both Baten Kaitos

Skies of Arcadia Legends (If you don't have the original on Dreamcast)

Fire Emblem: PoR

Wii:

Tales of Symphonia 2

Fire Emblem: RD

Xenoblade (When released in West)

Last Story (When released)

Virtual Console:

Ogre Battle 64

Secret of Mana

Paper Mario

Super Mario RPG

Ogre Battle MotBQ (If you don't have it on PSX)

Final Fantasy IV/II (Again if you don't have it on PSX)

Shining Force

Shining Force II

All Phantasy Star

Be careful with VC/WW titles on a shared console. Just remember that whatever you buy will be locked to that Wii system forever.

Yea, I saw something about that.  I think I'll hold off on that until I get my own.

'Opoona', 'Cursed Mountain' and 'Muramasa'

GCN games:

Pikmin 1,2

Ikaruga

Mario Kart: Double Dash

F-Zero GX

Luigi's Mansion

Wii games:

Monster Hunter Tri (one of the best games on the Wii)

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition

Wii Sports Resort (if it wasn't bundled)

Call of Duty: Black Ops (this version isn't as gimped as previous versions compared to HD versions, controls very nice and has tons of multiplayer playability)

Goldeneye 007

Get all the Paper Mario games including Super Mario RPG.  It doesn't matter what order you play them in.  I have Super Paper Mario but I have yet to play it.  I played and beat all the other ones though (LOVED THEM).

My god the Gamecube library alone... alot of people will tell you get MKWii but I recommend Double Dash, to me it was more challenging and had more depth. unless you really care about online.

Muramasa, Bully, Goldeneye, Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, Red steel 2 if you've never played Smash Bros. melee then Brawl will blow your mind

Whut?

Not going to dispute it as a reccomendation though as it can probably be found cheap and it's a great game, I would say if you ignore online entirely, and ignore that local MP is way more fun with motion controls... the single player experience is a bit better on Dash than MKWii, but it certainly wasn't anywhere near as challenging... I think I completed everything in the game in under 20 hours.

As for my reccomendations, i'll just ask you to go to my games collection, and if you see anything of interest and want to know more about it then ask (PM or in this thread), the only ones in my collection i would reccomend against to anyone (regardless of their gaming tastes) are Madworld and Sim City Creator (though I still managed to rack up 50 hours, but then it's easy to get engrossed in Sim City)

If you are into fighting games, I recommend Soul Calibur II on GCN. Do not buy Soul Calibur Legends as I hear that game is terrible. Everything else I could recommend has already been recommended.
