Thanks for proving my point!!!  I own a PS3, so calling me a MS fanboy just shows how incredibly meaningless your opinion is.  Deluded would be thinking PS3 is gaining ground while it is outselling the 360 by a couple thousand consoles, like you.  Sony doesn't have the best games this generation though, and what won them last generation was having the MOST games.  If you really think 5 huge games are going to turn the tide, then you are moronic.  MS has just as many huge games for the 360 coming out next year.  Look at the past games Sony faithful have said will change everything, all of them have bombed.  Games just aren't selling for the PS3 right now.  Games that do sell good, are outsold by 3-1 minimum by the box.  I'm no fanboy, my mind just isn't clouded in Sony bias and PR like yours is, so I can see ALL the facts with an open mind.  You just proved you don't have clue with regards to what you are talking about, so I would suggest not commenting in threads trying to proclaims your overwhelmingly biased opinion as FACT.  Thanks.

 the only problem is that the hd-dvd stuff is starting to move fast. cheaper prices and better selection of movies. so blue ray is starting to take a hit.

Of course the PS3 will "increase the gap" in Japan, that's what happens when you outsell another console.  You have to look at world wide figures.

 In order for Sony to "gain ground" it needs to outsell the 360 consistantly WORLD WIDE, not for one week, and not just in a region that accounts for 10-15% of total worldwide sales

My god! Its outselling the 360 by 3k a month at this rate ps3 will catch the 360 in 48 years, and with sonys 50 year plan it will eventually overtake it! Well thats also including the fact they just had a price cut, so they can just keep cutting the price until they give money to the people buying the console!

You are completely deluded. Do you really think that games like God of war and FF, GT are alot bigger then Zelda, SSB, Mario, Mario cart last gen? Ps2 won because of QAUNITY, not QAULITY.

Next year ps3 has some major titles coming out (most of them will be pushed to 09....) yet so do 360 and wii, if you cant see this then your swallowed up in your fanboyism.

Ok, ill play  that game, since Nintendo and MS have released their best games (ha) they wont get a boost from that. BUt wait! Since they can cut the price whenever the heck they want (unlike the bleeding sony). Sony has done that just so they could keep up this holiday. MS and Nintendo will have price cut advantage while sony will have games, they scratch each other out and things remain the way they are.

I don't see how anyone can take this post seriously. Number one the article has NOTHING to do with market share. It is about percentage of increase in sales from October to November AFTER the PS3s pricecut. If anything it affirms the Wii still outselling the PS3 almost 2 to 1 in the month of November. Any short term analysis is going to swing one way or the other depending on how the wind blows or what is released. This is indicative of nothing.

I never said the ps3 was making major ground on the xbox360 but the fact is even if it out sells it by just 1 unit a month then it is gaining ground. And i'm not saying that the ps3 which currently is gaining a few thousand each week is enough to over take the xbox360 either. Sony still has the best games coming out this generation and the ps2 won because it had the best games, you can do the math on that one. Microsoft doesn't have as many huge selling games coming out next year as sony does. You don't have a clue what you are talking about, most of sonys best games haven't come out yet where as most of microsofts and nintendos have, so instead of talking rubbish and trying to pass it off as fact do a little research first before you post. When did i ever say the ps3 out selling the xbox360 by 3k was enough? The gap will only get wider as sonys best games come out tho. Ps2 won because of qaulity not qaunity. I never said the xbox360 and wii didnt have any major selling games coming out but the ps3 has alot more next year. As well as sony having the better games coming out next year, they will match any price drops so you dont really have a point. If you want me to do 'list wars' to proove my point i will but i hope you just do a little research yourself so i dont have to go to the trouble of doing it.

 Sony cant do another price drop for a long time or their stock holders will shoot themselves in the face. They can lose only so much on each ps3 sold, and i assume if you were Sony's CEO, you would be in the black in no time with that logic.
